Mac update 1.36 (1.37) not working

I just updated to the latest release, named companion9x-mac-v1.36-update.dmg on the home page, but I guess actually Mac Update v1.37 according to the download page. Anyway, it crashes at startup.

I can not see any version of Companion 9x version OS x 1.39 which is labelled "Beta".
I downloaded the linked software from your post above which was posted 14 hours ago. It loaded perfectly well though I still have not used it to reflash my erSky 9x firmware.

there is a version of Companion 9x which was posted 7 hours ago and is called "companion9x Update 1.39_2146.dmg Companion9x-1.39 MacOSX" Is this the one we should use?

I can not find Version 0.97 either. It was at this page http://code.google.com/p/companion9x/ this morning but has since disappeared probably at the same time as Version 1.41 for Mac OSx was uploaded.
I have uploaded Version 1.41 and it appears to be all OK. I will try using it to update ErSky9x after I finish writing this message. I am using OS x Version 10.8.4 on an iMac desktop.

Hi Ken.
The software is here: http://code.google.com/p/companion9x/.
On the left margin is a list under the subheading 'Downloads'. Any file with the extension .dmg is a Mac file. If you hold your mouse cursor over the link it will give you a longer description. These descriptions used to say 'download Version 0.97 before installing this software' or words similar to those.
Click on the link and you will be taken to a page with the link repeated and a full description underneath and a message that this software does not include AVRDude and libraries. These are loaded when you install Version 0.97.
When you click on the link it will start the download and you will see, with your version of OS x a download window with a progress bar I think from memory, and the Companion9xUpdate V*.**.dmg file will appear in your downloads folder probably or wherever you normally send your downloads.
Now open the Finder window and then open the Applications window. Then double click on the Companion9x Update 0.97.dmg file. You will get a window which tells you that this software has been downloaded from the internet and do you want to open it? Click on 'Yes'. You will then get another window with c9x in a pyramid configuration with coloured letters. Drag and drop this c9x symbol into the Applications folder which you previously opened. If there is a Companion9x file already there a small window will open saying that an older file is already installed; do you want to' stop', 'keep both' or 'replace'? Click on 'replace'. If you don't open the Finder/Applications window first you will not be able to open it once the Companion9x...dmg window has opened. If you want you can then drag and drop the c9x symbol from the Applications folder (not the window which opened when you clicked the .dmg file) into the task bar at the bottom (or side) of your screen so you then have a shortcut to open the application without going into the Applications folder.
Click on the shortcut or the Companion 9x name in your Applications folder to open Companion 9x.

I loaded Companion Version 1.41 on my new Macbook Pro under OSx 10.8.4 but it does not work. I loaded Version 0.97 and then updated it with Version 1.41.I downloaded the latest Ersky9x firmware. I then connected my Sky9x board and powered it up. In preferences I set the firmware to Ersky9x. In 'configure' I set the port blank and the Sam-ba location to /usr/local/bin/avrdude. In 'configuration it only allowed me to select at91sam3s4-9x. I tried to write the Eeprom to a file. No valid programer specified. I put -c in the port field and the following message was received:

Can someone please help. Am I p**sing into the wind trying to use Companion9x and ErSky9x?
I am tempted to use Opentx on my Sky9x board but I am unsure of which version to use. Are there any issues I should be aware of?

It should be sam-ba not avrdude !!!
It cannot work with arm processors as avrdude is done for atmega series one...

Unluckily SAM-BA does not exist on MacOSX, so sky9x board cannot be supported at the moment.
We will drop the support on Mac until a solution will be found.

we urge someone with issue on latest releases to run the following command ve companion 1.43

otool -L companion9x.app/contents/macos/companion9x
