Trouble Installing C9x on Mac

Post by Michael »

I am currently using EEPE and an 9x radio with ER9x. I wanted to check out companion 9X however it refuses to work on my mac.

Mac Power Book Pro
OSX 10.5.8

EEPE works just fine.

Installing 0.97 goes fine, but C9x doesn't launch:
The application companion9x quit unexpectedly
Then updating to 1.21:
The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items.
Anyone seen this before?

Hi Michael

It looks like you are not logged in to the mac as an administrative user.

You will need that so the application can install some files in specific directories that are read-only for non-admin users.

Hope that helps

Yep it looks like that, yet I am logged in as an administrator (single user actually) so I don't get it.
I also cleaned up the authorization library, and I also tried to manually changed the access and privileges to make sure that everything was straight, same result.
Thanks for the reply.

Try deleting the 0.97 app from the applications folder first, then copying the latest one in.

Ha why didn't I think of that :) That solved the problem of not having the privilege, thanks.

Now it still "quit unexpectedly" as soon as I launch it:
