Turnigy 9X broken? Try to Flash er9x?

Post by jevermeister »

Hi,
I bought a Turnigy 9x and got it today. It is my first fully programmable TX, I used a T6A before.

I wanted to use it with my MultiWii Quad but have a problem, I wanted to try stock firmware first to see if it works at all.
I noticed, that the stick ranges are very strange.
I set up a new Model Based on Acro and have stick reeadings of 920 to 1560 it should be 1000 to 2000.

I tried to recalibrate it using the trim combo.
I tried using subtrims and endpoints, but all channels even aux are in that range.

A side effect is, that if you go to the lowest position too fast, the value will stuck at the last correct value.

Is the tx broken or is it a setup problem?
Should I try to flash er9X or is it a hardware problem?
Nils

Looks like a potentiometer problem to me...

I think having er9x on it would make it easier to troubleshoot. You will get a lot more information from er9x than you will with the stock software.

The readings in the Display part of the 9x are ok. my two quadrocopters are showing the shifted readings.

It seems quite strange, that this effect occurs on all channels equally.

If I flash it I will be unable to get a refund right?

Hi,
thank you for that hint but I already did that, as mentioned in my first post.

No problem,
I have to thank you for taking your time :-).

I noticed that the overall beahvior is odd:
If I apply subtrim, the value on my copter, change for a short moment and than go back to the old value. I cannot trim it relly far, only 50% of the subtrim is applied?

Is there a setting somewhere that diviedes all movements by 2? ;-)

hhmmm, don't know the stock fw that well.. most of us only turn the tx on to see if it works and flash it right after..
