I've recovered the Panzer, I think that is the only missing model I can recover.
There are 2 copies of each model and the general settings in the EEPROM, every update alternates between which copy is written. As long as only 1 of the copies has been overwritten it is possible recover from the other copy. With the general settings and MODEL1, both copies have been overwritten.

Regarding the EEPROM error, the SPI bus is used to read/write the EEPROM, and the Arduino for the encoder is on the same SPI bus, and is accessed when the EEPROM is idle. Possibly, at some point while getting this installed, one of the SPI signals was upset.

Well, at least you tried, thank you very much for all the effort.

I will setup the radio and then I will create eeprom copies, no prob. Live and learn!

Yes, always backup your radio's eeprom regularly.. Basically every time you change something.
You can backup the eeprom to the computer (recommended), and also to the SD Card.
As you might also know, you can backup models to the card or computer.

Will do! Both, no doubt of it.
Some of the models have a nice bit of job. logic switches and so on, so it is a pain.

Anyway, I have been testing the radio, and as Mike said, as some point I lost the synch between the encoder and the radio, but it is great to know it can be fixed. Overall I am happy with how it resulted :)
