FrSky telemetry sharing the ribbon with USBASP?

I wonder if this would work... in the wiki and other sources the telemetry always uses separate wires from the CPU to the back board. As I have the USBASP on the back board, I realised MISO and MOSI are readily in the ribbon!

Backlight control. It connects to pin 17 of the processor.

It looks like kynar, wire-wrapping wire, to me. I use white kynar for my mods. It is solid core, and the insulation doesn't 'melt' when soldering.
