Where do unlisted options go?
Where do unlisted options go?
There are a lot of options in the latest firmware that eepe doesn't support yet. When I copy the EEPROM off the tx, is all the data stored, even though I can't edit it? If I do edit the model and send it back to the tx, are the unlisted settings still there, or are they blanked each time? Could any other data be lost?
And this begs the question, is there a preferred way of dealing with this sort of thing when er9x and eepe are out of sync with each other?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
To help, could you list the options that are not in eepe yet? I can tehn look into whether I can add them. I have done very little with eepe up to now, been too busy with other things.
I thought the options were preserved, just not used.
Mike.

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
Unluckily not all er9x are supported as it's difficult to track them.
I'm looking how to add new features in safety switches (more complex) and in custom switches (that should be easier).
But having a list of unsupported ones will help as well...
Re: Where do unlisted options go?
Mike,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Sorry to be a pain. The option I mean, is the new second timer settings.
I owe it to you guys to experiment with this on my own and report back. If the options are preserved, it should be a simple matter of updating my "generic" models, and using them when creating new ones until things catch up.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
The reason I need to ask is I have a lot of different thing on the go at the same time, almost too much. The version of er9x I'm running has several other new options in it I'm testing so I lose track of what is released. I'm not very familiar with the eepe code, I've only played with the edges of it. Any feedback of things that need doing is actually a help, otherwise they are easily forgotton.
If there is anyone who has time, interest, and ability to change eepe code, please do so. I have commit rights so if any changes are forwarded to me, I can get them released.
Mike.

Where do unlisted options go?
Last I heard, he integrated a time warp field generator on the ppm input of his pipo 32 , but he had a cold solder , one of the leads hit the pwm output stream, opened a reverse vortex, and that was the last we know of anything...

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
Sorry boys, maybe now I'm too serious, but is not the proper way of taking things:
1) real life exist
2) real job exist
3) it's very difficult to follow someone else work and to implement mods in programs.
We all need to thanks Erazz for what he did and is doing...

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
I doubt there is any criticism meant here.
Re: Where do unlisted options go?
No criticism at all, just joking.. Please read the PIPO thread if you want a good laugh. You'll find many more jokes there..
We all are thankfull to Erazz for starting all this projects.. It's been an amazing ride.. He is an amazing developer, the same as Mike, Bertrand, yourself and a few others.. And we all thank you guys for your excellent work, even though is your fault that we started drinking beer

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
Perhaps someone accidentally sent him a case of beer. Or the pipo 32 is really so powerful it created a black hole! Or Worse!! Erazz is the first victim of skynet!!
he he he . . . he is probably just out flying or something, isn't that why we are really into this?

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
I've just done some updates to eepe, only small ones, I'm still getting to grips with Qt Creator. I shall leave the build for Erazz to do, so he can check I've got the changes right!
Anyone with QtCreator who wants to test them may get the updated sources and build it.
Mike.

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
I see the changes. Testing the eeprom file will have to wait until after work though. I am assuming you went after the Frsky changes. Is there anything else I should test?

Re: Where do unlisted options go?
OK Erazz has built my changes, if there are any other things in er9x, not in eepe, let me know, I might be able to fix them.
