Purchased these Smoother Boards from TH3D: (https://www.th3dstudio.com/product/4-pa ... er-boards/).

These smoother boards are an add-on module boards that are installed
between the Printer Control Board and the Stepper Driver Motors.

To Install: Unplug the Stepper-Motor Cables E, Z, X, Y, from the 3D Printer's Control Board
and then plug them to the (labeled) P1 end of the Smoother-Boards.
Next attach the Short-Jumper-Cables (provided) to the other end of the Smoother-Boards labeled P2 .
Then connect the other end of these Short-Jumper-Cables to the 3D Printer's Control-Board
E, Z, X, Y, connections.

These 8 Diode Stepper Smoother Boards provide flyback diodes for the Stepper Motors
that will help to reduce the appearance of “Salmon Skin” on your 3D prints.

Installing Four Smoother Boards_J.jpg
Added (glued) some Bubble-Wrap to the Power-Supply so that the
Smoother-Boards would not make contact with the Power-Supply surface.

Reinstalled the Power-Supply and not shown reinstalled the Bottom-Cover-Panel to the CR10-Control-Box.

These 8-Diode Stepper Smoother Boards will provide protection to 3D Printer Control Board
when you move the Stepper Motors manually when the printer is off.

Smoother Boards can be used on any stepper driver type that is used in 3D printers.

These 8-Diode Stepper Smoother-Boards will help make your E, Z, Y and X (axis's) movements smoother
and will even reduce some of the noise by a tiny amount too.

Back together now and printing a test 3D Print of a second RC Truck Rim 1/10 with a 12mm hub.
When done I can compare between the two to see if these Smoother-Boards have
made any improvement to the surface finish of this second 3D Printed Part.

I believe there is some (very small) improvement to 3D Printed surface using the 4 Smoother-Boards.

Youtube video about a different control-board (MKS Gen L) that you can upgrade the stepper motor drivers.
This was done on an Ender 3 printer, not a CR10 printer.
