FRSKY HORUS X12S GIMBAL ($60.00): (https://www.horusrc.com/en/receivers-ac ... imbal.html).

Edit: Then these are not the ones you were referring too.
The link above was not working, I fixed the link, works now.

Hi Bob, your link does not work for me, but the link I posted and the link Lancaster posted are both for the same item.

Seems like we'll have to add a stepdown, or maybe 9xtreme can provide 3.3V?

When you install the 9xtreme the gimbals connect to it anyway, so they will be supplied with 3.3V

Awesome, thanks. I have nearly ordered a 3.3V Pololu in the meantime :)
Seems like M9 are than Aurora 9x, if I install the Aurora gimbals while M9 are in transit, I'll have issues installing them later?

You are not down to 6.6 bits more like 9.3 bits.

We use some over sampling with averaging to turn the 10 bits into 11 bits already.
I just tried moving a stick on a Taranis (12 bits analog), and I'm struggling to get the output to change by less than 0.3%.
I wouldn't be surprised to find a resolution of 680 steps on a stick is actually OK.
When I put a 'scope on the PPM output of my Hitec Eclipse 7, I found the pulse width changed in steps of 2.5uS. Since full movement of the stick in one direction only changed the pulse width by 400uS, this was only 320 steps across the full range of stick movement.

Does anybody know if the X12 gimbal frames will fit in Taranis? I'm glad the M9 gimbals will work in both my Taranis and 9X (with Sky board) but the X12 gimbals seem a bit better made with all metal frames.

Does anybody know the thread on these sticks? Is it M3?

Edit: The second review says they are 3mm.

M9 Gimbal
M9 Gimbal
This part of the new M9 Gimbal, looks to be sticking up a lot.
Will this be a problem with the SKY board, AR9X board, 9Xtreme, 9XR-PRO using the FlySky and Turnigy 9x radio cases ? :?:
