Hey all,
I just purchased an external OrangeRX module (http://www.getfpv.com/orangerx-dsmx-dsm ... tible.html) for my Turnigy 9X that has a 9Xtreme board installed. Whenever I try and power the transmitter with the module installed, the transmitter seems to freeze on what I believe is the boot loader screen. I get a similar behavior after powering down the transmitter, removing the module and powering it back up with a frsky module. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this module to work with my current set up?

Re: OrangeRX Module Freezes Transmitter
Are you saying the screen also freezes with the FrSky module?
Please try the following:
1. Without any module, set the external protocol to OFF.
2. Power off the Tx.
3. Plug in the module.
4. Power on, does the Tx start OK?
5. Now go to the protocol setup, and set the external module to ON, the protocol will default to PPM. What happens?
Mike.

Re: OrangeRX Module Freezes Transmitter
Thanks Mike,
After the first time it freezes, it continues to do so no matter what module I use, or if I am not using a module for that matter. After a number of attempts it just starts working again.
I am at the office now, but will try the step you suggest and report back once I get home this evening.

Hey Mike,
Totally feel like an idiot. Didn't think to change the protocol or the model that will use the OrangeRX module. After changing just that model's protocol to DSM2 I did not have any issues with it freezing. Thanks for the help!
Best,
Ryan

Re: OrangeRX Module Freezes Transmitter
Except an Orange module needs PPM, it won't work with DSM.

Kilrah,
You are totally right, I was reading some other things and accidentally typed DSM2 when I meant to type PPM. Thanks for pointing out the error in the previous post.
