Startup Splash Screen Has Disappeared

After reassembling following repairs to correct wiring problem with backlight I noticed that the splash screen no longer appears at switch-on. I get the welcome message and everything runs normally. It shows "ON" in the TX settings. Is there something else that can change the startup display state?
The only other change I have made was to fit a 1k pad resistor on the black wire to the FrSky DHT module.

There are a few problems I've fixed. Not surprising given how quickly we got this out.

For eepskye, go to: http://www.er9x.com/, and download an install eepe/eepskye from the link on the bottom right.
This should get eepskye 'talking' to the 9Xtreme.

Then go here: viewtopic.php?f=126&t=7751#p103194, download and flash the ersky9x from the 21-Oct-2015, this should fix your missing splash screen.

Mike.

Edit: Link corrected.

Mike, I think the second link you've posted above is broken..

My fault - lazy old me. Got sick of disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable every time and left it off until I wire in my XJT module. Found the comment in another thread that this causes the splash screen to go away. :)

I went to download eepskye as instructed above but could not find one for Mac OS in the lower right section. There an epee for MAC in the column to left but it does not seem to communicate with 9Xtreme either reading or writing.

Is there an alternative epee for MAC available anywhere?

I can use the alternative method of copying the firmware file to the 9X as I have no problem seeing both the Card and ROM directories.
I am new to this flashing stuff so need some guidance. The 9XT directory shows two files of equal size FIRMWARE.BIN and ERSKY9X.BIN. The directory is full so obviously I have to remove one in order to replace it with the updated file called "ersky9x9XT_rom.bin".

A.Which one do I remove?
B. Is it necessary to rename the ersky9x9XT_rom.bin file or does that happen automatically?
C. What do I have to do after the file is copied in to load/activate it.

I've just done it , I think you are looking in the wrong drive it needs to be in FIRMWARE directory on the same drive as you have your voice files not the one you are looking in ( you will need to make a FIRMWARE directory )

my drives where 9XTREME (M:) which you do not want and RC_CARD_8G(L:) (Which is the name I gave my sdcard) so I put my firmware in RC_CARD_8G(L:)/FIRMWARE.

Then restarted in bootloader mode without the usb cable attached

EDIT: could have explained a bit better,

to go into bootloader mode you start up your tx with the trims held in but you do not connect the usb cable, when you do that the file(s) on your sdcard in the firmware directory are listed and can be selected by a menu long press to select then another menu long press to write the firmware to the tx

You do not want to alter files on the 9Xtreem drive ( I think this is not a real drive but the memory chips on the 9xtreme board) as one is the firmware for the 9x and the other for the 9xtreme board.

someone correct me if I'm wrong :D

Thanks for that - adds a bit more clarity to the issue.

I thought I posted a reply, but it isn't here!

If you go here: viewtopic.php?f=122&t=5575#p79483, and read:
"9XR Pro Communicating with computer 2014-04-25.pdf"
this gives you a description of what to do.
