Before you install the DHT, let us know what you intend connect it. But better open another thread for that..

Hi. A bit of necroposting here. Im decided to try the mod too. May I use this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/10PCS-SS34-Vish ... SwlaxWNrVN

Also I am surprised that metal piece with V form is not needed. Why is it there? What was the purpose?

Also, does the 9XR PRO need this mod too?

Yes you can..

When the 9x radio came out, it was a FM radio and used a much bigger antenna. This metal piece was used for it. It also connected the ground from both halves of the radio together.. But that is not needed because the 12 way connector that comes from the backplate and connects to the mainboard alreay has a ground wire.. So, the metal piece can be removed.
Also, does the 9XR PRO need this mod too?
No, I think the PRO is well protected against reversed polarity :)

As always, thanks for your answers. I will buy it and once I receive it I will install it :)

I have a lot of things to do in my radio, so far it has:
9xtreme,
Four 2-pos switches replaced by 3-pos ones.
One pot replaced with a 6 pos switch.
The resistor for the receiver mod.
Lifepo battery.

And the things to do list continues with:
Battery polarity mod,
Taranis gimbals,
Multiprotocol internal module.
Add two push switches (not sure if I can after installing the 4 3-pos switches)

Again thank you all for your help. I could not do anything without your tutorials.

Hi Rad,
When you come to upgrading your 9xtreme Gimbals, you may want to consider the new M9-R Gimbals: (viewtopic.php?f=95&t=10431).
