lancaster: That doesn't sound right. A flashing screen sounds like you might be getting a reset (possibly watchdog).
Does the bootloader say V1.7?

Just to confirm it is the data on the screen that flashes, not the backlight.

Mike
Yes its only the data that flashes although it now seems to flash only once after a rather slow start with the first switch on.

When switching on and off following the first switch everything seems to be normal except for the lack of the initial '9XTREME' message

Data transfer is all fine

The "9Xtreme" message only appears for a short time. You should see it if you plug the USB cable in with the power off (no backlight).

With the Power Off, if I plug in the USB Cable I can hear the speaker make a sound...like a click... then another when i unplug... no screen visuals happening.

Mike, would it be possible to allow two more PBx buttons? PB3 and PB4? There is enough space to install 2 of them each side on the back of the radio.. Actually there is space for more ;)

Thanks

Thanks. I will install 2 more push buttons on the back of the radio then. When/if you implement it They will be already wired ;) :)

So i will have EXT1 for making the ELE a 3 pos switch
EXT2 will be PB1
EXT3 will be PB2
EXT4 will be PB3
EXT5 will be PB4

I have just removed the 9x mainboard and will to the reverse protection mod.

Just a clarification question....
I finally got everything done... I installed a 2 cell flat battery pack in my Radio.. its squeezed between the BackPanel and the power switch area. Fits really good.
Its a 7.4V 2200mAh, full charge is 8.4V and runs well.
I have completed the Charging PicoFuse Mod, the Reverse Polarity Mod and I added the wire to the Pin5 of the Back PCB for the XJT.

One question regarding that Black Wire... I think ShowMaster can answer this... as he has it implemented on his Radio.

Does anything else have to be done to the XJT module? Does the Pin5 of the TX actually connect to the Telemetry/SPort Pin on the XJT?

Yes, the XJT is already outputs the telemetry on pin 5 of the module connector, there are NO mods needed on the XJT.

Switch the radio on while holding the two horizontal trims APART. This starts the radio in "maintenance mode". In this mode you will find an option for updating the bootloader from a file on the SD card. It looks like you already have r127 on the SD card so just update the bootloader from that.

The bootloader is included in the firmware file. All you need to do is select the r217 firmware file.

Ok,I haven't quite finished to install everything but had to turn it on ;)

It's working. installed this version (ersky9x9XT_romTrainerFix.zip
10-Nov-2015 11:52) by placing the bin file on the card and installing it from there.
I also don't have splash screen when turn the radio ON. The reason I think this happens is because of very very very noisy analog inputs. If i turn the radio ON with the throttle stick not at idle, the splash screen shows up. Also, sometimes I have a switch warning even though all switches are on their default positions..
Sticks and pots are extremely noisy. Will make a video of the ana screen now and will post it here.
