No teleletry with r218 (9xr Pro) and XJT

Hi,

This is my first post so congrats to developers for the great job done on ersky9xr.

The telemetry is not working properly with ersky9xr_r218. It worked fine few times (around 5 or so) and then no more telemetry. Altough it is working good with r217 through ports com1 (frsky, D16) and com2 (frhub, D8)

Model: 9xr Pro (not sure if there are different model versions, bought new last week)
Ersky9xr vers: r218
RF module: XJT (firmware XJT_LBT_build151223.frk)
Receivers: X8R & X6R (firmware X8R_LBT_build151118.frk)

No problem at all as I'm using r217 now.

Regards,

Daniel.

I'm not aware of any reason for r218 to stop working if r217 is OK.
Perhaps you could try the latest test version (for r219) from here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676#p65894.

I've tried r219 but no telemetry again. r217 still good

I just tested the latest r219 (j) on my 'PRO with an XJT and X8R. I'm seeing RSSI and SWR OK.
Please try r219 (j), create a new model and set the protocol to PXX D16. A previously bound Rx should still be bound and work as long as the RxNum is the same.
Do you see a RSSI value?

Flashed r219 (svn: ersky9x-pr219). Created a new model. I have telemetry until I switch off. When I switch on again I have to change the model to any other to get telemetry back. Almost ok

Thanks!!

Please describe the exact sequence of operations you do to get the telemetry back.

This applies for r218 and r219:
1. Turn on tx (no telemetry, starting on model with working telemetry with pxx, d16)
2. Long press left to get modelsel screen
3. Press menu and select any model with telemetry. Then I got telemetry again until I turn it on next time and then repeat this process

Bit of a guess here, but is your real time clock working?
There is an output signal from the RTC that controls inversion of the telemetry input. It is just possible that if you battery for the RTC is flat, this bit is not being configured until you change models.
There was a change in r218 that removed an automatic setting for this bit, relying on setting the option in the model setup correctly.

Totally right!!! It was the date/time that I even didn't bother to setup (sooo stupid me), so the clock was not working at all. I couldn't think of a relation in between. But anyway, this has been a totally newbie mistake. Sorry for messing around with this.

Thanks Mike!! Great support!!

So I seem to having the same problem with 218, whereas I only get telem if I switch models. I check my clock settings and the time is correct, you mention a setting in the model setup, what is this?

In the Telemetry menu, the option "Invert COM 1".
