The answer to your question is, there is probably a simple way, but we need more information please.. What exactly do you want to do?

Simple is relative by the way :) ;) What is simple for me might not be for you ;) :D

I want to use a pot to adjust differential ailerons

Mixes do have an option to use "Diff" (for differential) instead of a curve or expo. If you select "Diff", you then normally set a value, but you may also use a Gvar (Global variable). If you use a Gvar, you may set the Gvar source to be a pot. I'll hopefully post an example of doing this later today.
