i have generated the attached WAV files exactly the same way but 9XR Pro (r221) refuses to play one of them. learjet.wav is working, the other one isn't.

FIle names for voice are limited to 8 characters (before the .wav).

By the way Mike, I have noticed the voice pack for the latest firmware isn’t using the voice index as file names anymore. Can I still rely in the old voice index table (I.e. gear up = 76) ?

The latest firmware doesn't use numbered files. But the system files must have the exact name as in the default voice pack. The user fikes can have any name you want..
