Switch arm with DJI Naza M lite

Post by EdwardMcRichy »

Hi all,
My brother has a DJI Naza M Lite, running the latest version of Ersky9x on 9xrPro. He wants to arm the quadcopter using a switch instead of the stick arming. Tried to follow this video but it was for OpenTx: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxIDxb-aDvk

Tried as best as we could to do the set up and try to figure out what is what from opentx to ersky9x. Also looked in the manual for Er9x and tried to follow the logic for 16. Automatic Landing Gear and Canopy on page 82 of the manual, did not work. At a loss as what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of "channel override", ersky9x uses the "safety switches". Set up a safety switch on each of channels 1-4 using the required logical switch as the control and set the required output value.
The set up for the logical switch should be the same.

Some more info here: (http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic ... te#p114948)
With the Taranis the switch I use is labeled "SF"
and I am not sure I am using it to arm,
but I am using as a safety switch on CH3 for the Throttle.
SF safety switch ERSKY9X Taranis with NASA M Lite
SF safety switch ERSKY9X Taranis with NASA M Lite
Sorry I did not remember correctly, I am not arming with a switch.

Ok
We tried the safety switch out but are unsure of how exactly to do it. I've attached some photos of the screens for in the mixer, logical switch and safety switch. I read through the er9x manual and this is the best we could figure out. Didn't work, probably because we are not doing it correctly but if anybody has an idea of what we need to change, your assistance would be helpful.

Bob, there was a lot of information to sift through at the links you provided, didn't see any info that would help, but again lot of stuff to look through.

My brother a I are at our wits end. We can't figure out the switch arming in Ersky9x. We've looked at the links supplied in this thread and still can't figure it out. Below are some photos of what the settings were. We can't get the quad to arm by switch. I've read the whole section in the Er9x manual on logic switches and safety switches, maybe there is something I'm not understanding because we just can't get it to work. Does anybody have any other thoughts?

In the safety switches screen do the channels there = the channel numbers in the mixer, ex. ch2 in safety switches is ch2 in mixer? Do i need to get rid of the THR on all the channels in safety switches except for channel 3 (AETR)?

Should we lower the value on each channel in safety switches for example we have extended limits on should we change the -125 to -100?

We can't find any information on the DJI forum

thanks for any input that helps.

Ok, give me a couple hours and I will try to help you.. I will have to read the posts above to find out what is required. But I already saw some stuff on your photos that doesn't look quite right.

L1 will never be true as the Thr stick doesn't go below -100%, Try changing the -125 to -98.

Try:
Logical switches:
L1 v<val -96 TRN (use GEA if you try in eepskye, and TRN switch if you are trying this on the radio)

Safety Switches:
CH1 S L1 -100
CH2 S L1 -100
CH3 S L1 -100
CH4 S L1 -100

What is each channel supposed to do while arming and disarming?? Please note that different flight controllers might need different procedures. Some even have different combinations for arming and disarming..
