9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
I didn't know how to set scaling...I'm using 3 cell lipo
In the telemtry setup screen:
UsrProto Frsky Met
A1 Channel.....I set this value to 13.2v and the value to the right becomes 4.9
A2 channel.....I set this value to 13.2v and the value to the right becomes 7.8
A1 on my telemetry screen shows 4.9 and remains steady when I advance the throttle
A2 on my telemetry screen shows 7.8 and drops when I advance the throttle....YES!!!
So now I adjust the 13.2v number to match a volt meter reading of my 3cell lipo?
I adjusted the 13.2 up to 20.2, it matches the volt reading on my meter (11.8v)
Also, is A1 a valid reading of anything?
Thanks for your SPEEDY help!!!

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
A1 is the receiver supply voltage.
The FBVS is likely to have a 6:1 ratio and so needs a setting of 6*3.3 = 19.8V, although you have done it correctly by matching your volt meter reading.

Hey Mike. Thank you so much!! It's working perfectly and I really appreciate you explaining the 6:1 ratio
Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
I had the same Problem with the telemetry like the person in this thread but the way here doesent work with me.Can someone look at my settings?

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
The Lipo monitor voltage is "Ctot" in the items list, the lowest cell voltage is "Cvlt".
The next release will include all the individual cell voltages in the list, and you may use a test version that includes these. Test versions are found here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
Is the red LED on the Lipo sensor flashing at not much more than once per second?
Please display the value of "TmOK" on a custom screen. This will have a value of 0, 1 or 2. 0 indicates no telemetry, 1 indicates telemetry only from the receiver, 2 indicates SPort device telemetry is also being received.

The red LED flashes once per secend. You can see when the Balancer cabel is conected the flashing will goes slower to the once per secend.
Please excuse me,but what is the TmOK? What does it mean and where can i find it?

Forget my last Question!
TmOK is a value 1.
When i count, the LED flashes three times per sec.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
There seems to be a problem with the connection between the sensor and the receiver. Please check the wires are making a good connection, particularly the yellow (signal) wire.

I checked the connection and every singel wire, its all ok.And then i create a alternative connection with old servo wires, its the same result.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
OK. The latest test version(s) have added more protocols to what was PPM2 (DSM and MULTI). So it looks to me you have enabled the INTERNAL protocol (box ticked) and are looking at that.
You need to untick "Internal" and tick "Module", then set the Module protocol to XJT (I've renamed it from PXX to make it more obvious when it should be used).

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
Mike, on the 9xt board you use "Internal" and "External"MikeB wrote: You need to untick "Internal" and tick "Module",
Mike.
On the other you seem to use "Internal" and "Module"
Now imagine that someone writes a manual, or makes a video manual for Ersky9x
You see what I mean??
Why not use the same name for both? Perhaps mix both, something like:
Int Module
Ext Module
There is space for it. I think there is even space to write the full words
Internal Module
external Module
Alternatively:
Internal RF
External RF
Int RF Module
Ext RF Module
I kinda like the last example
Thanks

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
ok Mike,i done it.But now there is another Problem. In this mode i can´t bind the Modul to the receiver.
In my Documents i read the sender in bind-mode,put the f/s button, and then Power on.
Do i need a jumper cabel or something?

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
Worth trying in the opposite order. Hold the F/S button down and power the Rx on. Both the red and green LEDs should be lit on the Rx. Now select the "Bind" option on the Tx. The red LED on the Rx should start flashing.

That don´t work also.I guess here is the Problem.I am not knowing exactly what kind of the modul or the receiver is.
American or Europe?
I read i the Net,when there not from the same, they cant talk the same language(Protokol 16)
Are there any clues from the outside, what type of kind i´ll get here?

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
The Modul from Banggod and the Rx from Hobbyking on both of them are dates to read
Modul 2016/03/04
Rx 2016/08/12
The exactly date when i get the items i dont know, somewhere in 2016
I think i remember on the delivery plastic was a label EU-Version.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
It does sound as though one of them may have the EU-LBT firmware and the other has the international firmware, particularly as you got them from different places.
Do you know anyone else local to you who has FrSky modules/receivers you could try binding with?
Otherwise, it may be necessary to try updating one, or both, to known firmware.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
I dont know someone else with this stuff. But this is a big thing.I´ll checkt it,both cabel are about 15Euros.Thats allright
When i reminiscene, the label was on the modul. And the receiver was from hobbyking internatioal Warehouse and then for sure it wasent the euro
firmware
Anyway,i order the Cabels, and a voice in my mind says everything will be ok then.
I keep in touch with you,and thanks a lot for your help!

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
You may update the firmware on the Tx module and the Rx directly from the 9XR-PRO.
Go here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6847&hilit=sport+updating#p94700, and look at "SportFlash.pdf".
Just make sure you get the power connections correct, the power and ground need to swap over.

It is working!!!
I flash both of them, the modul and the receiver at the latest EU Firmware
Now i can bind it and see the telemetry
Thanks a lot Mike!

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
I have noticed that the Rxv value on my telemetry page shows around 4.8v. However the dataflash logs show between 5.0 and 5.2. The receiver is a FrySky X8R with a XJT module in the radio. The power module is a Mauch.
I can see there is a setting for "rx voltage" in the Telemetry settings page which is currently 13.2 which I assume is a calibration factor. Does the X8R not send back the actual voltage value as written to the log?

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
What is a "dataflash log"?
The X8R uses an analog to digital converter with a 4:1 divider (hence the 13.2v calibration value).
You need to measure the actual voltage and set the calibration value to get the correct reading.

Dataflash logs in MP
When I plot the "power issues" graph from the logs, my curr.vcc (powr log entries) is a very consistent 5.2 +/- 0.03
I increased the factor from 13.2 to 14.4 and the Rxv on the telemetry page now reads 5.2.
Is the curr.vcc not supposed to be the same as the Rxv?
How do you actually measure the actual voltage and is it measured on the pixhawk or the X8R?

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
You clearly need a test meter then measure the voltage with it. I would say measure it in both places. Without an accurate measurment, you don't know if one or other (or both) of the values reported are actually correct.

Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
RxV is measured and transmitted by the receiver itself.
No idea what a pixhawk would measure and how, never used one.
Re: 9XR PRO FRSKY Telemetry
I do have a multimeter. The sbus port on the X8R is connected to the rcin port on the pixhawk, so I think this is how the receiver gets power since I do not have any connections to the servo pins.
Can I measure the Rxv voltage using the +/ -, on any one of the 8 sets of servo pins on the back of the X8R? Or should I measure the +/- of the rcin connector on the pixhawk?
