I also had some problem (I not exactly remember what cause that) until Multi.txt was missing.
budavaril wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 8:47 pm I just found ^ that thread..
The problem was without Multi.txt on the SD Card had a boot issue, but just with 222d1 firmware.

I deleted that file now and tested d2, d3 and both o.k. no matter with or without the file.
It's mean Mike developed something with that. (He always want the 100% perfect, half solutions are not accepted... :D )

I finally copied back to the SD again, because a bit later I want to order a multi-protocol module, so it will be useful to me.

Ok, want to know another not so known feature of ErSky9x? ;)
Do you like music? :)
I like to listen to music when I fly my models sometimes, or at least in between flights. Sometimes I am alone at the field and music is always a good company.
Did you know Ersky9x has a music player?? :)

I recently came across some WAV files in an OpenTx script package, which include extra flight modes and other messages I needed, so I copied them to the user folder.
I noticed that the stock WAV files were 16000 hz so assumed that the extra files which were 32000 would not work. To my surprise they worked just fine. However, any file name > 8 chars do not work, so I will need to abbreviate them.

Also after adding the extra files (100+) to the user folder, they appear in the listing of files after the original files i.e. not in alphabetical order. Plus the new files appear in a random order. Is there a trick to get the entire collection sorted correctly?

Not sure. Try opening the card on a computer, and then put it back on the radio.

By the way, you can generate your own voice files for Ersky9x using "TTSAutomate", which is a windows program that was designed specially for this..

If I remember correctly, it was said, the files are displayed in the sequence, they have been written onto the card.

I created a new folder on the PC and copied all the user voice files to it. Then I deleted the user folder on the SD card and copied the entire folder from the PC back to the SD card.
Now the files were in the correct order.
Then I renamed a file on the SD card on the PC. On viewing the list of voice files on the radio, the file I renamed was the last file in the listing. This indicates that the radio firmware code is not sorting the files prior to display.

No it doesn't. That is why I suggested to deal with it on the PC :)

erskyTx certainly doesn't sort the filenames. To do so would need a relatively large amount of RAM as the entire directory would need to be read and then sorted before displaying. On radios such as the original SKY board, AR9X and 9XR-PRO, there isn't so much RAM available.
I might be able to do something for STM based radios, possibly only for directories with a limited number of files, which probably won't include some of the voice file directories!

I am good with it as it is Mike.. it just takes some more "looking" to find the files.. I think you could use the RAM in much more useful stuff than organizing voice files.. I really don't think that is a show stopper.. as long as the files are displayed I am happy :)

Now at least we have a workaround for the RAM limitation by building a new folder on a PC to replace the original one.
Fortunately, the voice files are relatively stable.

No sounds at all?
Are you using numbered files?

Also some more info here,
if you were using a very old firmware version, you will need to update your sound files and program them into each model eeprom:

Other sounds remain normal

I have 07 models installed with voice, the problem is creating a new name with new sound, after updating r222

When I upgraded to er9x r222, I can't get a name on a new model, for example 0277 is a name, that name put in the voice does not come out, the other old ones work normally, before the update the numbers linked to the name appeared in the configuration, not now, but the voice continues

The model name voice files are now stored in a directory /voice/modelNames on the SD card. It changed to this at some point.
Try:
Create that directory on the SD card if it doesn't exist.
Copy or move your model name voice files into that directory. Optionally change the name from a number to a more meaningful name (max 8 characters).
Start the radio normally.
Navigate to the model setup/general menu and go to the voice name entry. Press MENU LONG and you should see a list of the available files, just select the one you need with a long press of MENU (a short press of MENU should play the file).
