If you had that button pressed when you switched the power on, then you have completely erased the flash memory on the processor (firmware and bootloader).
If you plug the USB cable in with the power off, the processor should start in SAM-BA mode, so your PC will find a new device, it may call it a camera!
Go here: viewtopic.php?f=122&t=5575#p79483, and read "9XR Pro Using SAM-BA to restore bricked Tx 2014-02-12.pdf". That explains how to flash the firmware, including the bootloader, back.

That self destruction button should never have been placed there..
But don't worry it is not the end of the world. As Mike says, the procedure to recover the radio is well documented, and we are here to help.. ;) :)

Even simple tasks like using your TV can be overwhelming if you never learnt how to do it. The radio does come prepared for connecting bluetooth and some other extras, but HK doesn't make a special BT module for it, so it will never be as easy as we wanted. See it this way, at the end of the day you will learn a lot with the process. We all did here..

OK. do you have the latest version of ersky9x installed?

If so, please do this. Connect the USB cable to the radio, and then turn it ON. 2 drives should appear on your desktop after a few seconds. One is the eeprom, and the other is the SD Card.

Re: Adding Bluetooth module

that is strange.. Ok, you need also to update it..
Start the radio with the horizontal trims held apart.. Towards the outside of the radio. The select update bootloader.
Select the firmware r218 and hit menu long. wait till is finished updating, hit exit long a couple times. the radio should now restart.

Yes, install the voice pack. Rename the old voice directory first, just in case..

Please give me time to answer your questions.. You write faster than I can think

go to Radio setup/audioHaptic menu set volume to other than zero.
Also make sure "Beeper" is not set to "Quiet".

When you move the trims, do you have beeps??
