9XR pro with irange tx multi module

Post by redpiperbob »

Hi All
first off please be gentle with me I am just starting in OpenTX so I know nothing!!!!
I have a Turnigy 9XR pro and an iRangex multi module. Can someone out there help me to bind an Orange R610V2 RX to this transmitter?
I have 9xr v221-rom as the firmware
what is the sequence to bind the rx

Thank you
Bob

are you sure that you have OpenTX installed? Or is it Ersky9x? The 9XR-PRO radio ships with Ersky9x as default..

well, erskyTX (former ersky9x) still supports your radio.
As far as I know, The OpenTX developers don't develop for it anymore. So in my opinion, better you stay with ErskyTX.

Go to Model Setup / Protocol menu, select "External" module, then in "Proto" select "Multi". Then scroll down to "Protocol" and select the protocol you want.

On mine I had to choose external, Multi , dsm , dsmx 11ms..I think also you need to go into telemetry and set to dsm and inverted

RX is an Orange R610 V2 DSM2
the TX has ersky9xr221.bin firmware
I go into model setting and protocol and set to
external
dsm
dsm2-11
and telemetry to dsmx
then do i press the bind button on the protocol screen or the bind button on the module on the back of the TX

thanks

Try changing this to AUTO
then do i press the bind button on the protocol screen or the bind button on the module on the back of the TX

No, you have to put the receiver in BIND mode AND ALSO press the BIND option on the TX protocol menu..

If you are using multi IN SERIAL MODE, meaning using the multi menu, you don't use the bind button on the back of the TX, you use the BIND in the protocol menu.
It can be that the version of your multi module's firmware is far too old. In that case, you would probably have to update it.
Perhaps post your problem also in the multiprotocol thread at RCG, here is the link.

Wow, good that is working, well done. Obviously not a nightmare there :)
And there are no thickos here. We are all good people, and we help each other.
If we all knew the same, this world would be boring :) If you know stuff that I don't, and I know stuff that you don't, we can teach each other.. ;) :D
