Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Since I have been able to flash my receivers, I now would like to flash the external XJT module.
I came across a reference to this how-to and would like confirmation that this technique still works as documented before I take the plunge.

Yes, that looks to be exactly correct. The turning the power off bit turns the power to the module off so you get to turn it back on when at the finding device stage.

Re: Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Hi,
I tried to flash my xjt module. I turned on the radio in boot mode then began flashing xjt firmware. Unfortunately it didn't work (flashing progression stops during flash) and besides i had a short and had to remove the R9 resistor as i saw in another topic.
Now i cannot enter in bind mode anymore. I tried with my djt module and i cannot enter in bind mode too.
I'm afraid i broke my radio.. do you have an Idea?
Thanks you,
Simon

What firmware are you using on the 'PRO?
You will need to attempt to flash the XJT again.

Hi Mike,
I've got the ersky9x-r212 V4-Mike.
I tried to flash with open tx but it doesn't help.

Does your module seem to receiver any power (LEDs lighting)? Or can you measure the power supply pins?

Hi,
On my XJT led are on but it doesn't beep anymore when i turn on the radio.
[EDIT] : on my djt, red led is on but it is not intense
I'm not sure of which pin is what so, beginning by the top :
Pin 1 to 2 : 0V
Pin 1 to 3 : 8V
Pin 1 to 4 : 3V
Pin 1 to 5 : +- 3V
Pin 3 to 5 : 11.3V
Pin 3 to 4 : 11.5V

This is the rear of the XJT module, i can see a problem just right of the chip.
I bought it second hands but it was working in binding mode before i did something wrong..

Re: Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Ok i updated to the ersky9x-r222 and i was finally able to flash my xjt module and it beep again !
I flash my xjt with this firmware "XJT_EU170317"
My receiver is a frsky xm plus and i bought it in LBT version.
I gonna try to flash my xjt module in a non LBT version to see if they do a mistake in my order.

Re: Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Hello,
I have exactly this problem, but the link to the tutorial is dead. This one :
http://thrustworx.com/frsky-xjt-firmwar ... y-9xr-pro/
I have a Turnigy 9XR Pro and a Frsky XJT with the FCC firmware. And I have Frsky X8R and Frsky XSR-SIM with the EU-LBT firmware.
I want to flash the XJT with the EU-LBT firmware via the Turnigy 9XR Pro.
Thank you very much for any help.
