Yup. At some point the developer of the system was going to move all his stuff to here.

I've been following his post. I have 2 of the HK stand alone orange stabilizers I bought when the model came out with the on off feature. I have no idea what the model or FW is. It's a second generation version.
I wasn't very happy trying it out on the bench because of serious servo noise. As soon as I connected the on/off control to my Frsky d6r the servos got really buzzy. I should try another model D receiver and maybe another system.
I found the topic on upgrading the FW to improve it and thought I'd try it on one unit. I've ordered a HK orange programmer that's still in shipping in Malaysia bound for the USA. Probably another week to wait.
Anyone trading this that's done the FW update please post your results. I'll do the same.
I understand this programmer will also work on the orange DSM tx module and receivers.

This is a great update to the base firmware. It gives addition flight modes and the capability to adjust the gain on the fly or through mixing. I use these units on my crack laser and Pitts to help stabilize for gusts and wind; since these models are so lite. I mix my throttle position in to Ch6 to reduce gain at full throttle (prevent oscillation) and increase gain for slow and 3D flight. A must have firmware for these models
I'm using the ones with built in receivers and no case. These versions have a place you can solder a 6 pin header. This header becomes the programming port to red lash the firmware. Remember to use 3.3v and not 5v on the programming port or you will burn out the sensors on board (read the wiki). Have fun.

Good info, thanks. Now all I have to do is read up on the flash operation and give it a try. I have a HK orange programmer as well as USBasp and a FTDI. Not great at using them but I'm a fast learner with the how to info to read up on.

Watch out for the voltage.
