9X with SP 2.4a and Tez inactivity alarm problem.

Hi all,
one of my 9x's has an issue with the inactivity alarm. Most of the time the inactivity alarm will not sound, but all other sounds and beeps are audible. This only happens on this 9X, the other one is ok.
I wonder what could this be?

Does the other have a TeZ as well?

Mike.

Yes, they are exactly the same in hardware matters (and software). I even formated the eeprom just to see if it fixed and at the beginning it was ok, but after a while it went back to the same.

Could it be some jitter on the sticks or pots resetting the inactivity alarm timer?

I think that it might be cause, since everything else works.

Possibly the 9xtreme will fix that, right?

I can see why some jitter on the sticks might cause the inactivity alarm to fail to activate. I also think I have a fix for that.

ersky9x, which runs on the 9Xtreme, uses a slightly different method for monitoring th sticks and shouldn't have the problem.

What version of er9x are you using (e.g. er9x-128, er9x-frsky)?

I've posted a M64-frsky (parallel voice) test version on the er9x test versions thread. This should fix the inactivity alarm problem.

It seems to be OK now. I tested at least four times and everything went fine. Thx for your time.

Another question:
What is the lowest voltage that the 9x with SPB and Tez could handle, before switching off automatically. I use a taranis battery, so should i set the low battery alarm for 6.5 Volts or it should be higher?
thx.

If the 9x radio has still the stock 5V regulator, don't set the alarm any lower than 7.2V..
This regulator is not low dropout and needs a supply voltage of around 2V above the regulated voltage (5V).
