This is so simple, I'm embarrassed to ask. I have the Smartie board loaded and I think all your cautions worked It seems to be communicating but I get the following error message:
C:\Program Files (x86)\eePe\avrdude.exe -C C:\Program Files (x86)\eePe\avrdude.conf -p m128 -P usb -c usbasp -U flash:w:C:\Users\Hardie\Downloads\Radio Control\er9x.hex:a
avrdude.exe: AVR device initialized and ready to accept instructions
Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.01s
avrdude.exe: Device signature = 0x1e9602
avrdude.exe: Expected signature for ATMEGA128 is 1E 97 02
Double check chip, or use -F to override this check.
avrdude.exe done. Thank you.
I have the port set to usb and the programmer selected as:
usbasp (http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/)
Should I be selecting some other programmer?
Isn't the radio processor Atmel AtMega64 8-bit MCU?
