Adjusting flap to elevator compensation during flight.

I am in the practice of selecting the flap to elevator mix before flying a flapped glider or power plane, in my formerly used Futaba 8U.
I assume that this is similarly possible using my new Taranis 9XD Plus. Is the best practice to select the window I show in the attached screenshot before launching? Then adjusting the weight after testing the Flaps at a minimum altitude?
Is this safe to do?

Jim.

I have found an answer to my own question.
The main "volume control" mix is described here: http://rc-soar.com/opentx/setups/adjuster/adjuster.htm

I will put up a screenshot of my final mix tomorrow.
It works good...........controlled by S1 rotary knob.

I found myself with the same question, coming from a Multiplex radio. I found a nice alternative: You can program the elavator mix using a "Global Variable". Then, under special functions you can assign a "pot" (LS1, LS2, S1 or S2) to adjust this variable. I played with the input curve of the pot to have the value in an appropriate range (like 0-30%). When you are done tuning, you simply remove the "special function" and you variabel stays at the trimmed value.
