The diode is on the back board, near where the wires from the charge socket connect.

Re: Motor Inertia simulation
Looking at your suggestion for a software change, if you are at zero throttle and you move the stick to full, then the slew rate will be at the highest rate and the acceleration from zero to full speed will be at the fastest rate. I don't think that would simulate the flywheel approach, I would thin...

This appears to be a very specific requirement. Probably best to try to make it work without changing the software.

Re: Weight or End Points?
If setting throws, then endpoints are "best". You adjust each end independently, while weight will adjust both sides at the same time.
In either case, trims should give you 25% of the available throw.

Re: Open TX Companion writing models - flashing done with errors
Did you succeed in flashing erskyTx to the radio (without errors)? If so, does it all appear to work correctly? R222 is fine. When you say using bootloader mode didn't help, what actually happened? Did the radio start OK in bootloader mode (power on with the horizontal trims held inwards)? If so, wh...

Re: Frsky Hall Effect RPM Sensor ?
The RPM input on the hub is connected directly to a processor pin. The three connections are 0V, signal, and 5V. I assume the signal is just pulses from the original, optical RPM sensor. Ideally keep the signal in the range 0-3.3V, although I believe the processor pin is 5V tolerant.

Re: Open TX Companion writing models - flashing done with errors
This is odd as Companion appears to be using SAM-BA to access the radio. Normally you would use the bootloader. Please try powering the radio on with the two horizontal held inwards, this should start the radio in bootloader mode, then connect the USB cable. Companion should then use the bootloader ...

Re: Issues with the latest multimodule software.
To use ACCESS software in a Rx you have to have an ACCESS transmitter. The ACCESS protocol has not been reversed so you cannot use a multi-protocol module with an ACCESS Rx.
The firmware to which I linked is ACCST V1, and should work with the multi-protocol module.

Re: Issues with the latest multimodule software.
Update posted. Are you only using the multi-protocol module or are you also using a FrSky Tx module? If you go to the download page for the XM receiver, at the bottom is: "History firmware DOWNLOAD (not compatible with v2.x.x)". Click on that and you will get the V1 firmware for the XM Rx. This appe...

Re: Issues with the latest multimodule software.
OK, I found a bug in erskyTx related to handling multi telemetry where the lead byte (e.g. 0x7E for FrSky) is not present while it is present from a real FrSky module. In handling that, I misread the status packet length causing every other status packet to be missed. I have the fix for that and the...

Re: Issues with the latest multimodule software.
At some point the multi firmware changed so it sends the selected protocol and sub-protocol names to the radio. erskyTx also has these names built in, and also in the file "Multi.txt" on the SD card. The names from Multi.txt override any built in names. When you change the protocol or sub-protocol, ...

I assume you are running openTx (and not erskyTx).
Set up a logical switch to:
AND SCv SCv duration(20.0), then use the logical switch to control channel 8.
When you move SC to SCv, the logical switch will turn on for 20 seconds.

Re: Flashing a M128 on stock 9X motherboard
The original stock module (Flysky FS-TM002) works fine, as does the more recent module (AFHDS2A type), although for this later module you may need to change the PPM polarity to get it to respond.

Re: Flashing a M128 on stock 9X motherboard
You probably need to slow the programming clock down, this is done by adding -B 10 to the AVRDUDE command. In eepe, go to the Burn|Configure menu and put -B 10 in the extra arguments field. Also, I recommend going in to the Burn menu and selecting "Set Fuses to Protect EEPROM", otherwise the the EEP...

Pity, the '128 version is able to do more, including having twice as much EEPROM for model storage, which is why the EEPROM needs a re-format.

Re: Flashing a M128 on stock 9X motherboard
That should not be necessary. The firmware for the m64 works perfectly on the m128. Do you really need to stick to openTx? It was forked from er9x originally, and on the 9X I don't think it was ever really that much different to er9x. Since openTx support for the 9X stopped, I have enhanced er9x qui...

On a side note, why does the receiver options screen have pin mappings anyway. Is it only for receivers with PWM pins? Should it even be there for an SBUS only receivers? If you power the Tx on holding the two horizontal trims towards the centre, do you get the bootloader?
If not, then try connecting the USB with the radio powered off, do you get a device appearing on the PC called a STMbootloader?

Call up the receiver options screen, then exit it, then call it up again, then exit it. 4. Now call up the Internal Protocol Options, exit, cal...

Re: Status of erskyTX support for Taranis Q X7 ACCESS radio
Is the Receiver Options screen still "garbled"? I wondered if the last change to fix the telemetry may have fixed that as the data is sent to the Tx using the same protocol as the telemetry. I've just added the telemetry power and the SPort/FPort options to the ACCESS Rx options in the source code. ...

No, you will still need an inverter for the SPort telemetry. On the AVR processor, it is not really possible to invert this in firmware.

I'm not sure what you are asking. erskyTx is available for the RMTX16S, just flash the .bin file to the radio. If you use eepskye, you may customise the splash screen, it is embedded in the .bin file.
