Re: Charging port.

According to the datasheet for the AOD403 I just looked at the connections are, from left to right:
Gate, Drain, Source.
Your picture shows you have the Gate connected where the Drain should be and the Drain where the Gate should be. Note the tab at the top is also the Drain.

Re: er9x development

João: I may add the odd enhancement, but along with trying to keep eepe updated with changes, it is quite a lot of work. I'm even having some trouble with the original SKY board as that has only 256K of flash and that is nearly full (and it is already missing some features that don't fit). The AR9X ...

Yes the crossfire protocol and telemetry have been present for some time. I have no data on the Ghost, does it use the same protocol?

Re: er9x development

To be clear, this is a er9x thread (not erskyTx). erskyTx will continue to be fully supported and updated.
Currently, the smallest build of erskyTx is for the SKY board, that has "only" 256K of flash. To go much smaller will need features to be removed.

Re: er9x development

Important Announcement! Due to the large number of different radios now existing that run either er9x or erskyTx, I no longer have the time to support everything. As a result, and because of the limited capability of AVR based radios: er9x (and eepe) will now be handled as "Maintenance only", that ...

Re: MultiModule Trainer Problem on X9D Plus

That is expected unless telemetry is turned off. The internal module is using the SPort signal for telemetry, so anything from the MPM, such as the protocol name, is likely to get corrupted. The MPM also corrupts the internal module telemetry.
This is why we need CPPM in the first place.

I just tried with Flysky selected (not receive) and the MPM fails with the red LED off if the internal module is enabled. Repeated the test with a standard module (no hardware CPPM mod) and the red LED ends up off if the internal module is enabled. Same thing with another module that has 1.3.1.77 on...

I saw something like that happen in early testing, but I didn't associate it with starting with the internal module on. I'll do some testing later today.

Re: X9E rotary encoder wiring/pinouts

That sounds right. I can recommend getting a cheap pair of X4 reading glasses for this sort of close work. For the surface mount stuff, I use a X20, stereo microscope.

Use single strand wire, I use Kynar, wirewrapping wire.

I added an option to allow setting the screen brightness when the screen is "OFF". If you have a switch set to turn the display off, and the setting happens to be "black", then you will have no visible screen. If you set a switch for this function, try moving the switch to the "display on" position....

Two possibilities (at least). 1. Go to the erskyTx test version thread and download eepskye5.zip dated 12-Dec-2020 19:53. Install this by extracting all files, keeping the directory structure, to a suitable directory (e.g. eepskye5). Then run this eepskye, and it should let you flash the radio (radi...
