I installed this code
Thanks Mike,

AND IT WORKED !!!You could try flashing "ersky9xs_rom.bin" (the "small" version for the SKY board).

No, that didn't work either. But this is the second option.. (When we hold the trimms, just opposite than firmware update)
It was absolutely stuck in the "flash firmware" loop.

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting
Thanks Mike, I will try that and report back. In the meantime, in the intent to narrow down the problem I flashed the AR9x bootloader 3.2 onto one of my two 9XR-Pro's And now the 9xr-Pro has that same problem of looping . But with the difference, that I'm not able to anymore get into the maintenance...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting
I used the same source code and compiled it for the 9XR-Pro.
And then updated the bootloader from that firmware file. The resultant bootloader on the 9XR-Pro was version 3.0. versus 3.2 on the AR9x.
And the 9XR-Pro had no problem with it.
Either version 3.2 or/and the AR9x has the problem.

Not in a hurry.

Re: bootloader looping
I just ran into the following problem. Yesterday I downloaded the latest code from github and compiled it for 9XR Pro and for the AR9x board. So far everything ok. Firmware is running. I recognized, that the AR9x had a bootloader version 2.9 so I flashed the bootloader from my actual fw image. It th...

Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option
Thanks for the answer, Mike. I'm trying to revive a multiplex Cockpit SX transmitter with a dead mainboard. It has a built in scroll switch that I will try to use. But for ease of handling its probably the safest way, if I can manage to have a 5-way tactile switch in addition to the existing scroll ...

With a basic 9x radio (with M128) , when using a simple scroll switch (scrolling plus one single switch) like this one https://openrcforums.com/forum/download ... &mode=view
is it possible to handle all menues or do I need additional switches ?

If you use the stock rf module, maybe this picture can help you to check the voltages.
There is one more regulator (3.3V) on the rf board

In the mixer setup there is the "Multiplex" selection with "ADD", "Multiply" and "Replace"
Select "Replace" and it will show the line with ":=" instead of "+="

Re: Comeback
Edit your er9x.hex file with a simple editor e.g. "Write" and verify the two lines I pasted in the above post.
Only to verify, if your file is the same as ours (at least at that position of the file).

I would download the code again. The error message says, avrdude detected a CRC error in line 1374 of er9x.hex (the last byte in a line is the CRC check byte of the databytes of that line) 1374 is hex 55E so either the line that starts with :1055D or the next line :1055E should be the line that forc...

Convert it to a bitmap and reduce the size to 128x64 pixels
And then convert it from color to black and white
gives something like this.

Sometimes it helps flashing, when the cable between programmer and the processor of the radio is as short as possible.
