Re: How to install and configure Trainer over Bluetooth..
Actually I read both and they are almost identical. I had already taken the button off and cut the trace on the opposite side before I saw your post that it is not necessary. Oh well, practice makes perfect! I just soldered to pin 34 of the BT module. Also I removed the pins and direct soldered to t...

Re: How to install and configure Trainer over Bluetooth..
jhsa, That did the trick. Neither radio reboots after 10 min! I used the version labeled for the multi. I misunderstood what each version is for. So all is good. My two extra 3 position switches are the "extra" switches from the main board. The P3 3 position is from last years mod to conve...

Re: How to install and configure Trainer over Bluetooth..
jhsa, did you experience a quick reboot (with drop in voltage) when connected via bluetooth? I have two 9xtremes with your bluetooth mod and have succesfully connected and controlled the Master. The slave is a new 9x with just the 9xtreme added. The Master is a previous 9x with a new mother board (1...

Re: 9Xtreme Add 2nd Internal XJT Mod
Would a RMILEC signal converter (up to 18ch) work as well?
I have used it with one XJT and one X receiver for 12 channels.

Re: 3 Position Swicth Upgrades - How to....
Ok, after alot of trial and error I have been able to map the "EXT" with the 9 pin connectors:
EXT1 A5
EXT2 A6
EXT3 B7
EXT4 B9
EXT5 A9
EXT6 B5? does not work
EXT7 A7
EXT8 B6? does not work
So we now have available six more 3 position switches!
Thankyou Mike and Steven

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
So, I now have 2 9Xtreme boards up and running well. Very easy to install compared to all the mods to original 9x (megasound, replacing pot with 3 position switch, joystick for gimbal control and later a headtracker). Now I would like to replace one or more of the 2 position switches with 3 position...

Hello, I received the 9xTreme boards yesterday in great shape via China postal/US postal. Today the installation went well and the Tx comes on with speech. I have tried to read the Tx eeprom and firmware but get an error message that "Tx disk not mounted". I have not seen anyone report thi...

I have in use two of RMILEC converters. It converts signals both ways if needed in a different application. It will convert up to 18 sbus ch. to pwm or ppm. I use one with XJT/X8R combination. I found one here on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/311395264338?ul_noapp=true&ul_ref=http%253A%252F...

Re: HobbyKing now offers 9x mainboards and LCDs as spare par
They are Atmel GA128A, 1107.MikeB wrote:Anyone who has received one of these boards, please confirm whether the processor fitted is a '128 or a '128A.
The original board has a '64A on it. In passing, the '128 takes twice as much current as the '64A or '128A (40mA instead of 20mA).

They indeed do have an Atmega 128. Just received two of them. I am going to replace them both with the Atmega 2561.

MikeB,
There may be more '2561s out there than you think. I have four 9x tx with '2561. I like many others are mostly silent in the forums as I have mediocre technical abilities.
Thankyou,
Mike Milan

Re: Understanding er9x / Ersky9x
Maybe I am missing something. Is there a way to save the voice alarms with EEPE . I seem to lose all of them when I edit a model on the computer and transfer the model back to 9x. This 9x has 2561, megasound and FRSKY mods. Er9x is FrSky mod version.

Bob,
You might have try using the command prompt in Windows. I used this command with success:
C:\Program Files\eePe>avrdude.exe -P USB -c usbasp -p m2561 -B 500 -u -U lfuse:w:0xDE:m -U hfuse:w:0xD1:m -U efuse:w:0xFC:m -v
Your path may be different.

The atmega2561 works just fine in all four of my 9x radios. If you haven't purchased the 128 then it seems to make sense to use the 2561.
I purchased these at Digikey: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... -ND/735457
