Re: Some interesting DIY parts

I saw those after I ordered the other ones. We'll have to compare how they work when we get them. I always order more than 1 in case I get a bad one or kill one off trying it out. I hooked mine up to a 3s lipo and set the output voltage to 5.42v. Hooked up a 2s lipo and the reading was still 5.42v....

Re: Some interesting DIY parts

Funny you should mention these. I had bought something form china and looked at the store of the seller and saw something like this. It was less than $2 shipped so I just put it in with my order. I thought that the least I can do with it is use it as a UBEC. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-Buck-Conver...

Cool, LTMNO. You made such a strong case for the rational of using 5 positions instead of 6 that I wondered what's up. :D

LTMNO, I looked into the switch and led thing and I'm curious why you used the six pole switch if you were going to use only five? Digikey carries this one too and it's only five position.

Re: Custom Spray

Thanks guys! Much appreciate!.

About the 'shine'. I'll use the practice case to see if I like it 'shiny'. I have to see how it will look a little 'satin'. The primer is mat and I kind of liked it. I'll think about it after the practice one is done.

I'm not as happy as I should be. I had an old transmitter that I used to make a practice run. It came out better, unfortunately, than the one I'm supposed to keep. I knew that hat would happen. :) If I ever do it again I'll not use white. The white falls to the bottom and comes up uncontrolled. It m...

Re: 6 Pos 2 Pole Rotary Switch with LED's for Mode Selection

Yes, an odd number, like five, will make it easier to determine the 'neutral' point but having 6 positions will not be to difficult, I think, since they will be 200us apart.

Re: Custom Spray

My observation about dip painting the transmitter. I bought the small 1/4oz paint jars for $1.59 each. I filled a bucket and looked at it and thought 'what will happen if I'll spray from the can (as mentioned in the previous page) into the water'. And that 's what I did and than I dipped a 1/8 ply r...

Re: 6 Pos 2 Pole Rotary Switch with LED's for Mode Selection

I don't know why you wouldn't make it a 6 position setup and just hide the 6th. It's not more work to do it so the first time, I think, and the switch has the 6 position and you'll be 'hiding' the 6th one anyway. I'm looking for a better led option to make it 6 positions. I will also make it with SM...

Would you have to adjust the resistors value if you use the six position? You now have a total value of 11k3. I think the pot is 10k, correct?

Re: Custom Spray

formontoya did you dilute the paint before you dripped it into the water? Did you use borax in the water? I think it was you who mentioned that the white color dropped to the bottom of the bucket. I've read that diluting the paint and using borax helps avoiding this. Also, how much of the paint did...

The general process I used to flash Romolo's patched firmware into a betemcu.cn usbasp is as follows. I havent tried his second patch yet....
