Have you tried logging the data to the SD card anyway? I think there might be some filtering in the display code.

Re: Throttle hold pitch curve
On my heli setups I use a linear curve or -100 to 100. So I don't have a separate curve for it. I am usually in an idle up mode when I fly. Don't forget to use replace on that mixer line, and make sure you set curve c7 to what you want.

Re: Auto max throttle
My esc already does this on it's own. The only thing you add here is an adjustable voltage. It would be best to have the throttle signal decreased rather than cut off. Some esc's will pulse the throttle also, which may be a better indication.

I don't think your module is making good contact with the pins. So the module is losing the ppm signal. With mine I had to slightly bend the pins so they would make good contact.

Re: Processor type
Try "reading" the chip in companion or eepe. Both programs should default to an m64. If that works without error it is an m64. If it doesn't work it is probably an m128. But post the error message here as it will contain the chip id, and someone can look it up for you. -Gohst Sent from my ...

Re: Nose Wheel Steringamount based on Throttle
If you did want to keep some steering at full throttle you could use a curve: +100% RUD *100% THR Curve(C1) Then curve C1 is 100 75 50 25 0. Set up like this it will do the same thing Mike's above does. If you start raising the right hand side of the curve however then you can still have some steeri...

The script for it is already in a subfolder. It can probably just be commented out of the Makefile. So it will probably still be there, just disabled.

Makes sense to me. I think the converters were only there for people to make their own fonts anyway. Also removes the need for ruby.

Re: HELP! bricked my atmega128
Ok so I changed the .rb file so it doesn't add the declaration anymore. So lcd.cpp now compiles ok. I had to change a couple of lines in er9x.cpp, as #include "s9xsplash.lbm" had the declaration in the .lbm file. That was change as below: const prog_uchar APM s9xsplash[] = { #include "...

Re: HELP! bricked my atmega128
Alright went back and tried to replicate what happened. I looked on the Google code site and the version of font_dblsize.lbm is different there. A simple svn checkout of the source will compile just fine if you only do make (no sorry that didn't work). If I do a 'make clean && make' then fon...

Re: HELP! bricked my atmega128
I think I fixed it. font_dblsize.lbm starts with "prog_uchar APM font_dblsize[] = {" I think all that is needed is the data from the file as const prog_uchar is already in the lcd.cpp file. font.lbm doesn't include the extra declaration. I removed it from font_dblsize.lbm and everything co...

Re: Tips for using the 9x with a car
It's on the first page (2/?) of the model settings. Scroll down past the timer settings and look for "Beep Cnt". Move the cursor over to "T" then press menu once. When you move the cursor off of it, it will be highlighted meaning the beep is enabled for that control.

Re: Tips for using the 9x with a car
You can set a center beep on the throttle stick. This would give you an audio indication of center. I've never had a reversing ESC, so for me throttle on the left steering on the right is what I do.

Re: backlight always on
I think the voltage from pin 17 should be higher. It should be much closer to 5V, the same voltage the processor is running from. If it isn't then I think there must be an extra load on the pin. A FET doesn't draw much current so the load shouldn't be coming from that. Do you have a picture of your ...

I had sort of a similar situation recently. The student brought his plane with a Futaba 6EX radio. The only thing I had for a buddy box was my new 14SG (I won this, didn't buy it). So the student got to use the really nice 14SG, while I as the instructor had to use the 6EX. After flying the student ...

If I can't hold all of the controls who's failsafe I need to set at the same time, then I just program temporary mixers to hold each channel position. Flip the switch I designated then press the Rx button. Once I know it worked I remove the temporary mixers so I don't accidentally trigger it during ...

The resistor marking means 100 ohms. That's 10 + 1 zero. If it were marked 103 then that would be 10 + 3 zeros = 10k ohm.

You would also need an option to keep it working the way it does now also. I tend to keep flying the plane while holding the switch. Then when it gets too out of control I just release the switch, and I'm just still flying the plane. I think it would be really hard to be the instructor and not move ...

Re: Strange problem with 9XR in Trainer mode
Your motor is going to 50%. The ppm input defaults to center stick positions, so it is the same as centering all of the controls, including the throttle. Get a new mono audio cable, sounds like that it's the problem.

Re: How do I get my copter flying?
If you were able to do the setup through mission planner, then your radio is communicating with the copter. There is probably a specific stick movement you need to do to arm the motors. You will need to check the documentation of your control board for what that is. You may also need to calibrate th...

Re: Turnigy 9x wont controle the receivers after Open9x upgr
If you can use the '-B' option with avrdude the frequency you use doesn't matter much. To program an avr, the programmer speed must be less than 1/4 of the oscillator speed. 1MHz is a good value, as it is usually easy to find. I like João's suggestion. Get an Arduino. They are available from many so...
