Re: Gruvin's DSM2 hacks / ideas to date

Why revert? Binding on the DSM module is initiated by holding the radio's TRN switch at powerup as usual, so I can't see why you're giving up because you can't use the module's button? :? I covered mine with a nice label I made :D Actually, that's an excellent point! Things like this are the reason...

Re: Data Logger in open9x / ersky9x and open9x / gruvin9x

I'm trying to get back to a Ymodem implementation over either serial or bluetooth. Basic receive file and write to SD card is working, just need time to integrate it fully. Interesting approach Mike. Certainly a bunch easier than USB mass storage. And in the meantime, why not? Sure beats a gaping h...

Re: Data Logger in open9x / ersky9x and open9x / gruvin9x

I have started working on SD Mass Storage, it's not easy at all :( Bertrand. Gosh. Now I might understand why ersky9x board has a micro MMC board in a place you cannot easily access from outside the case -- USB mass storage mode means you don't have to. But no Sir! It is not easy at all! . Though i...

Re: DSM2 Range Check

We should also detect DSM2 mode models and skip the splash screen and other warning automatically at system start-up, if the bind switch is active. In that regard, I would also recommend reverting to using the trainer switch for bind (hard coded) since the module will only permit bind mode to activa...

Gruvin's DSM2 hacks / ideas to date

Here's some history on some stuff I've tried with DSM2 to date. I wanted dual mode Fr-Sky plus DSM2 capability (not at the same time, of course.) So I made an exchangeable DSM2 TX module out of a FlySky case and a DSM2 module, while using the existing 'spare' +6V and antenna TX-module interface pins...

Re: DSM2 Range Check

My two cents ... I agree. A menu option -- probably very near the DSM2 protocol selection -- for both bind and range check, including some kind of beeping in both cases would be the best solution. In fact, I wish Spektrum would have done it the same way. :P EDIT The beeping thing ... IMO, the range ...

Re: Flashing Frsky-modded 9x with transmitter power on

The main thing with this is to make sure the no receiver is switched on, bound and sending any Fr-Sky telemetry. If telemetry data is coming in, it can and will mess things up. Otherwise, you should be fine. Oh and -- if you use a MAX232 instead of the pseudo-RS232, transistor based level converter ...

No more gruvin9x firmware development

For newcomers to the forum/community ... just a note that gruvin9x firmware is no longer being developed. All efforts (almost) that were contributing to the gruvin9x firmware have migrated to open9x . Please refer there for anything related to outdated gruvin9x topics -- or indeed new ideas/enquirie...

Re: Moving the abscissa of points in curves menu

Did you not know? They all live on planet 9x. It is located four degrees north of the luconium constellation. If you don't know where that is, it is 7 groats past the spenolding nebula. Don't listen to this guy. It's a trick! Actually, it's 7.2 groats. WARNING: 7.0 groats beyond spenolding (at 4.00...

Re: Moving the abscissa of points in curves menu

Is there anybody who will need the previous "er9x" curves system? If memory serves correctly (loaded comment that, for those who know me! :P) the er9x curves system as it exists today was driven almost entirely by 'robotics' requirements -- not flight models -- especially in the raw numbe...
