Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
Thanks Mike that did the trick and is now displaying values between 112 and 130 depending on whether I raise or lower the model. I was unable to set the value exactly to 255 as at the level the numbers increment by 10 so I set it to 250. Is this documented somewhere, as all the documentation I have ...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
According to the picture above you are not receiving telemetry at all :o Can you get RSSI and TSSI values other than zero when the receiver is ON? João When the receiver is on I am getting values for everything except the value of A2 which does not change. In the telemetry setup menu, configure A2 ...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
OK I went flying this morning and I got no telemetry from the vario. Is there some way I can test this unit other than flying it in a model. It is no use driving around with it in my car as the land around here is as flat as a tack for some kilometres in any direction. Is there a setting I am missin...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
Correct I am using a D6FR and I configured it as per this instruction. D6FR.jpg So as João said I am using A2 for the vario. The sensitivity setting I was referring to is in the telemetry settings in ersky9x, I will change this to 50, do I need to set voltage range for the A2 port in the first telem...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
Success, :) I think. The upload finished without errors, I have installed it in an Easy Glider Pro connected to the A2 port, and when power is applied to the Rx I get a red light on the Arduino and a green light on the sensor. I assume that at least I have power, now to sort out the telemetry settin...

When I attempt to upload the sketch I receive the message avrdude: error: could not find USB device "USBasp" with vid=0x16c0 pid=0x5dc . I have a feeling that I need to do something to have the program recognise my usb device. A lsusb command displays Bus 004 Device 005: ID 1a86:7523...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
As kalle123, first check that you can compile and flash a simple sketch like "BLINK". If you can't, we can give you some links in order to get some help about this basic task. I installed Arduino 1.0.5 and compiled both the simple sketch "BLINK" and also openXsensor. I have used...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
There should not be an issue with OpenXsensor Configurator under linux. Had it working under PCLinuxOS and now under Debian 8.1 I created a script file similar to the one you used on page 2 of this thread and it is now running. So that is a start. Did you follow the instructions in the archive file...

Re: OpenXsensor Configurator
How do I run the Configurator in Linux Mint 17.2. I have extracted the files from the archive and when I attempt to run the program file nothing happens. I do not get any errors, messages, nothing. I can run the Arduino IDE and load the OpenVario .ino file so that part is working but that is all. Is...

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X
I tried that and the trim and the stick moved in the same direction, but on the display where you see the stick movement when you push the rudder stick to the right the display moves in the other direction. I can live with that, but I thought there may be another solution.

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X
I recently installed Taranis gimbals in my sky9x system and have not used it since I got my 9XR Pro but since I am trying out the new Orange module that uses the internal antenna connection I have gone back to the sky9x and my FrSky Rx's. I have just noticed that while all the sticks move in the rig...

Re: Using in 9XR-PRO
Not had one of those receivers to try! I notice the manual says you can disable the telemetry when binding by putting a bind plug in the throttle output. If you have a servo plugged in to the throttle output when binding maybe this could look like a bind plug and the telemetry is disabled. I will c...

New Orange Tx module
I have just installed the new Orange Tx module in my 9XR Pro and can I say it is the worst fitting module I have ever installed in any radio. Ersky-9xr Test Firmware 26Jun
I have just tried to load this firmware on my 9XR Pro and it does not work. I end up with static coming from the speaker and just hash displaying on the screen. I tried to install it both ways, by copying it to the SD card and flashing from there and also flashing via Eepskye. The results are the sa...

OpenXVario and new Orange Tx/Rx modules for 9XR Pro
I am in the process of obtaining the parts required to build the vario using the GY-63 MS5611 sensor and the arduino pro mini and I was wondering if this could be used with the new Orange Tx module for the 9XR Pro and the new matching Orange Rx's. If this can be done what wiring changes would I need...

Re: Connect vario direct to D6FR receiver
Not sure but I think new vario does not have an analog port to provide sertical speed. One solution could be to build your vario your self based on the instruction of openXsensor (= previously openxvario). This project available on github allow you to build a vario using an arduino pro mini (availa...
