Re: How to install ERSky9x on Q X7
I do know that mike has gotten pretty damn good at porting the code quickly and appropriately. I don't even know what functions *I would even need to ask about. I'm about to get dive into a multi module, as well as telemetry and I don't even know what questions to ask. I just wanted to make sure the...

Re: How to install ERSky9x on Q X7
Does it still show up as usb joystick/game controller in windows?
Is there anything that you have noticed is limited with ersky9x over opentx?
Xjt telemetry work?
Er9x kind of grew on me quickly but I dont want to loose some function from switching to Er9x.

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
Aye, that's the one. I've scoured over it with a magnifying glass and can't find any shorts/cold joints. And it happens quite randomly. I suspect now that temperature change is involved as it happens sooner than later when going from inside the house (AC) to outside (hot and humid) or when the radio...

Thanks for the replies. I'm not trying to be curt, merely brief; my apologies if come across rude. AR9x is awesome, for sure. It's all the mods that you all have worked so hard to sort out for years, in a drop in package for $30! I can't even imagine having to do all the troubleshooting that has bee...

Re: How to install ERSky9x on Q X7
For the QX7 you need ersky9x, not er9x, latest test versions are here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676 . Yes, download eepskye. Go here: http://www.er9x.com/ , and download from "eepe and eepskye for Windows" and install it. Next go to the test versions link abo...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
I have M9's in my 9x with an AR9x. I might have to go back to the stock 9x board, which is 5v. Would there be any point in replacing the hall effect sensors with 5v hall effect sensors (so I can use it with the stock 9x board)? I don't see why not as long as vout is 0-5v and the magnetic field sensi...

EFLRG210HL Gyro setup
I recently inherited a Blade 450 with a EFLRG210HL heading lock gyro and I don't know how to program CH5 for the gyro. I know on a 401 gyro, you program a switch to throw -50+P2 or 50+P2 and that will switch between Rate and Heading hold, and allow gain adjustment with POT2. After reviewing the &quo...

Yes, BUT I also fly larger CCPM heli's, and as a matter of safety and habit, I program them all the same way, or at least by the same set of "rules". I don't want to turn on my transmitter and have my model do some crazy stuff or get lost, I want to know that someone isn't going to get mai...

Re: ERSky9x, setting up V911
LOL, yep. I had read that but didn't quite get it until I tried it. For a throttle safety at takeoff that's great....during a motor cut and autogyro, it's baaaad if you need to power up and throttle out. "S" for me, it is.
Thanks!

Re: ERSky9x, setting up V911
I want a safety switch to when first turning on the model (safety switch)
but
I also want to be able to enable a throttle hold whenever I want (like in the mixer)
Is there a more acceptable way to do both of those?

HOW SILLY OF ME!
I guess I didn't realize that it was CH1 and not safety switch "#1". Small oversight, big issue.
Thank you!
(coincidentally, I'm having display issues again, anyway, so i'm going to head back over to the ar9x thread on rcgroups)

Yeah, I was trying to post my eepe, but have since figured out the forum doesn't like eepe files. Kind of ironic... ERSky9x, setting up V911
I had the V911 setup on Opentx just great! But I recently upgraded my 9x with an ar9x, m9's, and an extra 3 position switch (on RUD) and I'm not as well versed in ER9x as I was OpenTx. On the bench, with THold on, my aileron and elevator works correctly. As soon as I flip THold (Ele) the aileron ser...

I didn't feel like risking frying my m9 gimbals, so I soldered my connectors like this! Pay attention to make sure you "mirror the connectors from the right and left gimbal pcb's, make sure it will clear the m9 mounting plate, and on one gimbal's side you will have to trim a filet from the insi...

What is tha MW-3M connector?
I'm sorry for asking, but I'm having a hard time knowing what to look for to find the receptacles for the 3 pin connector on the m9's. Searching digikey or mcfarland is really hard when you don't *know* what you're looking for.

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
I just looked and don't see an obvious menu entry in radio setup to switch gimbal direction, but I'm also using an older build ("radio setup" -hold left at home screen to enter) First of all, what firmware is installed on the ar9x board? Ersky9x or OpenTX? That was for Anthony's question ...

Turnigy 9x.
I just ordered an AR9x and M9 gimbles for it, I'm hoping to pimp my tx to my liking even more than that.

We'll see how far I get...

What brand pots/switches to use or not to use
I'm not IEEE, but I know enough to know that not all pots and switches quality are the same. If I want to replace, upgrade, or add a switch or pot to my radio, what brands should I look for? or how do I know if it's cheap c**p vs a quality item? Bigger suppliers are affordable but kill you on shippi...
