Re: Voice setup for APM 6 Modes with Ail D/R and Aux3 Way Switch
I verified, that it is working. And it is a really simple setup. Even though I had some problems to get it working. But only due to my faults. You need only one single entry in the "Voice Alert" menu. You only set the Switch field to "Fmd", the Trigger field to "All" a...

Re: Voice setup for APM 6 Modes with Ail D/R and Aux3 Way Switch
Defining 6 logical switches using 2 & 3-way switches and then using them in the voice alerts is simple and clear. This is how I did it too using 6 of the named voice files from the voice package

Re: Keep breaking XJT modules
I noticed that there is a slight movement of the module when clipped in the back of the radio, so I secured it with 2 pieces of electrical tape on either side of the module. I don't know if that will help, but I have never had a single problem.

Re: Intermittent speaker malfunctions
All values as expected. Today I was getting no sound at all after switching on the radio. My suspicion has turned to the original SD card which I have replaced with a name brand (Toshiba 16gb). On the PC, I successfully copied all the folders to the new card and currently have sound again. Time will...

Unable to arm with radio stick (left)
For some weird reason starting today, my 9XR-Pro refuses to arm the Pixhawk. This is done by [left stick full down & full left]. Using the Sik telemetry radios and Tower app on my phone it does arm. I checked that I got -100 showing on the radio screen for the stick movements. Any other ideas? R...

Re: No data showing on radio with R221
They are supposed to get migrated automatically when you load a model. This is handled by the model data having a version number. This is displayed in r221 at the top of the Model Setup|General menu and is 4 for r221. Did you simply flash the new firmware? Please, if possible, detail exactly what s...

No data showing on radio with R221
After flashing r221, all telemetry values, including Tx, are zero. I can arm the pixhawk, so I assume I have radio contact.
Switching back to r220, everything is normal . . .
Update: it looks like the Protocol settings in the models are not migrated during the upgrade.

Intermittent speaker malfunctions
I don't know if it is the cold weather, but my speaker often stops after about 10 minutes. If I power it off and on again then it usually starts working for a few more minutes! This is a pain because I have several voice alerts I rely on. Could it be a low voltage issue? Anyone else had this and fou...

Range test: how to interpret readings?
I finally got round to trying the Range Test in the Protocol page. I have an XJT module and an X8R receiver. I noticed 2 numbers displayed. I assume the first was the RSSI value but what was the second (around 153)? If I walked 50 metres away from the receiver and got a RSSI reading of 50+, is that ...

Re: Turnigy 9XR pro Frsky module X8R not binding
When you use the sbus protocol, a single X8R receiver will give you 16 input channels. You obviously need to bind that receiver to the radio. Plus you only need 1 wire to connect the receiver to the flight controller
What flight controller are you using & why do you need 16 output channels?

Re: Best FrSky DJT and 9XR Pro GPS Solution
Frsky has a new receiver specifically designed for gliders, the G-RX8 which Is an X series receiver with built in vario. You would need an XJT module plus the s.port GPS module. If you need an XJT module for the radio, then it can get expensive and you might want to consider the Frsky Q7 radio which...

If you have the XJT module and the X8R, assuming you have some form of flight controller, can you not use the SBUS port which gives you 16 channels using the XJT protocol?

Re: Ardupilot protocol choices for frsky telemetry
1. I think I have a fix for this, I need to store the battery capacity as it is only being sent, it seems, when disarmed. 2. I'm not processing the 5005 message, I'll need to check the exact format to be able to decode it. 3. I'm adding Hdg to the available logged values, and, hopefully, this will ...

In the Model/Protocol page. If you have not already used it for another model/receiver, try RxNum 5, it works for me
If you do make a change, I would bind again.

Re: 9xr pro simulator
Assuming you are using the ORX dongle, the distance is good. If the blue light on the dongle is solid then it is bound.
- When you create a model for the simulator use, check the receiver number is unique.
Try a different USB port on the laptop.
Make sure the laptop does not go to sleep.
