Re: FrSky X10s

Mike, There is a problem with Voice Alarms, I cannot allocate any switch other than SH or !SH. Exit from the Maintenance menu no longer causes the system to Halt, but exiting from the Bootloader menu still does cause a System Halt. The changes to the image display is working well, it is much easier ...

Good to get that fixed! Image files are 128x64, 24 bit colour. The file should end up 24K long. Mike Mike Is that size hard and fast, because try as I might I cannot get the file size down that small. I have downloaded image files from SkyRaccoon and have been editing them to try to make 24K withou...

Re: FrSky X10s

I'll be looking at why the SPort telemetry is not enabled for the internal module. The only way I know of is to delete all files in the directory, then copy them in one at a time in the order you need. Possibly, if you can get a list of the files you want, in the order you want, then create a "...

Yes I did, thanks for that tip I will add it to my list of things to check in future. It's a pity that there does not seem to be a way to copy the file in order onto the SD Card.

First flight uneventful all went well, if anything the model seemed to be more responsive. I will now tidy up the battery mod and make the module bay usable and then try my multi module. I will now go away and work my way through every screen and document possible modifications. On the file names in...

Re: FrSky X10s

I am unable to to add an external module to this Tx as the previous owner did a battery mod and installed the charge and balance lead in the module bay. I intend to reverse this but have not got around to it as I am waiting on parts to arrive to finish the job.

Re: FrSky X10s

Mike,
Dumb question, how do I turn on telemetry in the Tx. I tried to setup a model for a test flight tomorrow and I am not getting any telemetry. I checked the Statistics menu and it is not running. I have never encountered this before, what do I need to do.

Re: FrSky X10s

Reverting to Model 1 after a reboot suggests the SD card doesn't read properly, although it has already written the dump file! As a test, could you try running without the SD card in. This will clearly operate with default data, and nothing will be saved but it will be interesting to see if you get...

Re: FrSky X10s

Another test version posted, this problem is really obscure! If you could try this several times and so get a few dump files it may help see a pattern in the reboots. Re: FrSky X10s

Well it is different, and now unclear why the watchdog triggered. I'll need to enhance the report further. Re: FrSky X10s

I cannot see why the graphic DMA is locking up, I reset it before every operation, and also if it fails to complete. Clearly a restart gets it working again! I've posted a new (tenth) test version. For this one I've significantly reduced the timeout (1.5mS instead of 16mS) for the graphic DMA. This...

Re: FrSky X10s

I assume you didn't see a LCD RESET alert message. I need to re-write what gets dumped to get some more information as to what is causing the graphic DMA to fail to complete. The data stamp on the file is probably caused by writing the file before I've read the date-time from the RTC chip. Mike No ...

One thing I noticed was the date stamp on the dump 01 Jan 2048. The date on both the radio and my computer are correct. :?

Re: FrSky X10s

I've posted a new test version. This one stores lots of data in memory while running. If there is a watchdog reboot, then it leaves that data alone on the restart and saves it to a file in the root of the SD card. If/when you get a watchdog reboot, power off. Then we need the file from the SD card....

Re: FrSky X10s

This is quite odd. The watchdog should get re-triggered every 10mS or so. It has a timeout of half a second so should not really happen. One of the two things that needs to occur for the watchdog to be triggered is the pulses to be calculated. Please could you try setting a channel in "servo t...
