Ah ok, now working on the 9xr pro of the president my local club, everythings gone fine with the flashing of the latest software, however a small prob has reared its head, I can't update the bootloader from version 1.3, not a huge prob but the tx just misses the step when holding the outer switches ...

Ok got it, by copying the rom file from the laptop to the sd card in a micro -> std holder then flashing from the card. should it be done this way?
meanwhile as ever thanks to all for the assistance - I am not a pc buff hence my simplistic questions

ok, just retried it downloaded something, but now cannot find it, it should be the latest software,
the tx has a file .....r212.bin but nothing else!

now, I also have a 9xr pro, which I am just about , within the next couple of days or so , to flash, on the mixer page will there be a template button if not was there ever one on the files for flashing?

just acquired 2 x 9xr pro's both running er9xskye, one with bootloader 1.0 the other 1.3, quick question can I simply diskcopy the later version to the other card or will I have to download etc?

hi anyone out there having 2 x gimbals both axis sprung ie not throttle one lieing around and wanting to help me out, sell etc, would be most interested!

just a quick query, just got hold of a non working 9xr, the screen is cracked, cannot see any replacements listed, can a screen for a 9x be used/substituted in a 9xr? they seem to be the same size etc!
also if the mainboard is kaput any available anywhere? if so a link please!

not overly important as use is with slow sailing model boats - will eventually give it a whizz!

Also, with the setup page set to M128, I flashed the M64 original er9x file with no probs!

Ok, can now confirm the the new board with the Green chip does in fact flash using a Smartie Parts small board, the only difference being in the setup screen, the memory NEEDS to be set to M128.

Just bought a new Turnigy 9X m/board, it has a cpu chip marked green not ati will this flash with ER9X software? I plan to use a smartie parts light board, or direct board conns!

ok, think the solderless board faulty, have hardwired and used a usbasp interface, worked first time - should have tried that solution earlier!!

ok, the usb li.... is shown on device manager and is working, tried various usb leads always gives the above message, prob with the smar...par.. board perhaps?

cpu kaput? although the unit continues to work in the original eurgle programming!
tried cleaning remounting etc but the above always appears when I try to read the eprom info , usb is working as per device manager etc - i'm a bit at a loss!

so, if I remove the sprung sck pin pin and solder a wire from the hole to the sck pad on the mainboard that should work?
the green chipped board is not flashable with eepe?

ndeed the board appears to be a mk 1 the sck pad aligns with resistor 6, and the chips is an atmel, I have another board with a Green chip, the pad on that aligns with resistor 5 - I assume this board cannot be flashed with eepe? is there a work round solution?

Ok, thanks to all, now a happy bunny, think my problems have mainly been caused by my intermittent web access - caused on/to the entire French SFR service network by a cyber attack.
I can now begin to plan installation/control of my steam boiler/engine /ancilliaries etc in my Customs launch!
