Re: Linux Ubuntu Debian Package
Well.. It certainly would help me in the future Erazz. But I do wonder how many people out there actually use Linux and in particular Ubuntu to make it worthwhile.

Re: FrSky Variometer
I do hope that something can be done to give us some nice bleeps with the Thermal Scout. I have added an earphone output to the TX for such a use.

Re: Linux Ubuntu Debian Package
Okay... So in theory it should have all gone through without any problems. If only life was that simple, :) I put in what you asked me to do. I think I may have got something wrong. This is what I did: trish@trish-desktop:~$ cd ~/eepe-read-only/src trish@trish-desktop:~/eepe-read-only/src$ qmake tri...

Re: Linux Ubuntu Debian Package
:D You have your nightmares and I have mine.... Mine are bigger than yours! Thanks for the instructions. It seemed to go well. It went through a series of things and then told me that it had updated to revision 294. The 'make' bit took a long time to complete throwing up lines like this &...

Linux Ubuntu Debian Package
Having found out that I have to go through the same process that I did initallly, to update my eePe. I am having nightmares of all the hassle that created, especially in changing permissions for files. Is there any move to create a Debian package to make it easy to install for users like myself, or ...

Re: General Questions Chat & Advice
I'm getting a little confused when I look at the firmware site ---> http://code.google.com/p/er9x/ Some of the binaries seem to be missing. I know that someone else asked the same question on RCGroups but I cannot remember the answer. I gather that some of them are redundant. Of course that leads to...

Re: Replacing Splash screen in er9x fw
I've added to eePe the ability to extract and replace the splash screen from the compiled fw file. Notice, this requires fw rev 652 or higher to work. Usage is simple. You open eePe. Click on Help->Customize Splash Screen I am running Linux (Ubuntu) and the editor is eePe Revision 289. The TX is on...

Re: Custom Spray
Couple of questions: (1) Has anyone located a tool to undo the nuts on the switches? (2) It seems to be a slow process (including rubbing down which I loath doing) doing all of this. Has anyone tried Vinyl Dye. I gather that this is far better and hard wearing when compared to standard paint process...

Extension Lead - TX Back To Main Board
Having spent sometime doing modifications to the transmitter. One thing has really made it a bit of a chore during testing. That is that you have to connect the back to the front, which leaves little if no space to put test probes onto various points. What is needed is an extension lead to enable th...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
There is a 1N4002 diode as reverse polarity protection , and a 1/2 ohm resistor in the power line ... Resistor should smoke out and open if there is a reverse polarity. One method that I have used a few times, is to put a bridge rectifier (four diode module) in the supply lines. The plus of the bri...

forums & Subforums
It is starting to become a problem for me to navigate around this site. One thing that is bothering me a little, is that we don't seem to have what I would call sub forums to the main headings. Take ER9X - Inside that heading we have threads named 'Mixes, Templates & Programing', 'er9x developme...

Re: er9x development
I thought when I skimmed your message that you meant the option to switch on and off two different tx modules from one of the other spare ports. Ahh! ... Okay.. Yes. My enquiry concerned the use of pin 43 to drive the motor. I'm guessing the one you are talking about, is the possible use of the oth...

Re: Mixology
Use the "Sticky T-cut" template in eePe. That's what it does. Ted I'm afraid that the information you have given me is meaningless. I don't have any templates in the version I have loaded onto my transmitter. I did look around to see if anyone had posted a mix, and I came up empty on that...

Re: er9x development
I have all the parts for this - and even the soldering done on my tx. Just not done the code yet. I should have it working in the next couple of weeks - christmas been keeping me too busy :P You are at the same place as I am. Sadly I am not a coder type person. Of course I am also looking forward t...

Sticky T-Cut Throttle
I am trying to set up the throttle, so that it has a fail safe. It is easy to do in a simple way by programming up a switch to replace the value set by the throttle, and in doing so deactivate the stick. What I am looking for is some mix where on switching the stick back on, that you have to set the...

Re: er9x development
I seem to recall that a while back, there was talk of using pin 43 on the MCU (via a suitable transistor/FET) to drive the vibrator motor. Has this ever been programmed up and released?
