Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?

I guess the one looking like a snake should be the USB cable. I can check the log recording in the companion simulator.

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?

You have point Kilrah. By the way, is there any doc showing the warning icons in the top line of the main screen? (Where the SD card icon shows). And what those icons are trying to tell us? I remember seeing a couple of other icons there but I was not able to force them up to take a picture and be m...

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?

Well, honestly, I cannot give a reasonable answer to how the Sensor can affect the RSSI. Tomorrow, I will make a quick test in the field, by disconnecting the sensor in my plane and then will check RSSI straight in the Telemetry screen. May be that have always happened and I didn't realize, given th...

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?

Just for curiosity, check in the telemetry log RSSI vs RX voltage. I guess you have the antennas at 90 degrees from each other. Anyway, I think the "bad guy" is the TX battery.

Re: SP-FLVS causing radio interference?

I have been using your config, including the X8R 5 years old, and V 2.0.0 and never had that kind of problem, but I did experience low RSSI, and re-charging the TX batt solved the problem. (I use a LiFe 3S for the X9D TX). However, keep an eye on the sensor, and install it not too close to the RX. A...

Re: Binding Problem

AArnaldo, if you have been using a previous version and had no problem, is great news. If that is the case, the most probable culprit is the FW version. It may have a bug or when you downloaded it was corrupted. In other words, easy to fix. Just, take it easy, when you flash any version. Be sure to ...

Re: Variable End Point?

I am assuming here your Gyro accepts an input for variable gain. The way to achieve that, is to assign the knob to a channel, and use that channel to control the gain. I have that implemented with a Hobby Eagle A3SII, and works just fine. Hopefully you have two free channels in the receiver (one for...

Re: Binding Problem

It looks you have a problem with the TX, or the FW in it. I have a X9D with X8R and never had the kind of problem. My best suggestion is to check with whoever supplied the TX. If with previous FW, you did not have the problem, then I would suggest you first downgrade to a previous version and check ...

Re: telemetry retains the value

Well, my friend, if the sensor gets disconnected, there nothing you can do. Here is the two possibilities for disconnection: Sensor disconnects from the SPort: You will have a "sensor lost" warning in the transmitter. The other possibility is that the sensor disconnects from the battery, i...

I want to have SE low at start up, otherwise to get a warning (Currently, it will give me a warning if it is not UP. Re: OpenTX 2.2.x does not communicate with Google Earth

You are right, although it seems that not too many people have the same problem, or they are just opening the log from the explorer. It looks that the KML files are in the right place, and I can imagine two possibilities why they not open from the Companion (I am using 2.2.1): 1) GE is not supposed ...

OpenXsensor fully loaded. Is it possible?

Gents, I have a few planes fitted with openXsensor, together with FrSky voltage sensor. I am using right now (and very happy about) a GPS and Baro with the Arduino processor. Now, I want to go one step further, by adding airspeed and sonar sensors to the Arduino. I don't know if this is possible, if...

Re: Channel with source related to a telemetry input not working

rdeanchurch, you hit the nail. Using I8 in the mixer fixed the problem. I figured out how the scale works, tested negative input values with VSpeed, and everything looks right.
Thanks a lot to both of you.

Certainly not. I noticed that right on, and I change the scale to 50 and 100, but the channel keeps showing me 0, in the scale from -100 to 100 (otherwise said, centered)

Channel with source related to a telemetry input not working

In the Input tab of OpenTx, I can define as a source for a given channel, a telemetry reading like GAlt, for example and set a % scale. However, when I enter into the simulation and I set the GAlt in the Telemetry Simulation window, I can see in the transmitter telemetry display the value I entered,...

Re: TR battery

Q1, Depends on the transmitter. Verify the input voltage in the manual. For sure, you will need to charge the battery with an external charger or you will burn the internal charger. You may need to adapt the battery connector. Q2, The antennas have to be 90 degrees apart. Most people use the antenna...

Re: telemetry retains the value

Pepe, the indication that you do not have telemetry data is the blinking display, and the value, is the last value received by the transmitter.
Anyway, I don't understand why are you disconnecting the sensor. Do you want to disable it, and flight without voltage monitoring.

Re: GPS lost communication with Arduino

You have a point. According to the supposed electric diagram, there is no diode to protect the RX pin, therefore, as you said, either the 10K or the voltage divider are mandatory to protect the module.
I am attaching the diagram I got just in case it help someone else.

Re: GPS lost communication with Arduino

Mstrens, it seems you hit the nail as usual. I changed the delay to 9000, and it worked. But let me tell you all the process: initially, I didn't connect the barometer, and the GPS was not discovered by the Taranis, therefore, I thought the oXs was failing, but, on the other hand, it was working bef...

Well, mstrens I connected the FTI as you suggested on 3.3V configuration to the PC and UBLOX sw, and to start, the bottom line shows protocol NMEA. I was not able to find in the sw manual how to change the protocol from NMEA to UBX. In the messages screen all related to UBX is grayed (I guess that s...

Re: GPS lost communication with Arduino

Mstrens, I was using the single 10K resistor, and in my last install I decided not to use it anymore. Reason is that the FTI adapter uses 5V, and that didn't kill the GPS. However, you made a point. It may be dead, and I don't know because so fat I was not checking any data towards the GPS. Also, I ...

GPS lost communication with Arduino

Hi, gents. I have been using the Arduino-NEO 7- M5611 with a lot of success, until i installed it in a EDF, for which, I had to extend the barometer cables. It may be I messed up with the wiring or something, the fact is that I was never able to get the GPS back in line. After a number of trials, I ...

No worries. I use the X9D. Changed the audio level in -3dB, and the rate to 16000, and everything works just fine.
