They should have produced the taranis with hall sensors.. they are not that expensive, and the gimbals would be much more accurate.. The Jeti ds-16 doesn't have any ADC and analog potis either, because it uses an absolute encoder based on Hall effect sensor.

I am going to update my PiPO ISU with the most recent software, as found on Google code.
However, none of my many programmers (HK USBASP et similia) seems fit well with PiPO ISU's pin layout, at least using the 'standard' cable.
