[quote="dvogonen"] I installed another kind of micro push buttons that worked fine, even if they were on the verge of being to large (4*4*1.5mm). The super low height made them a perfect fit. The best thing about them was the price. $3.50 on ebay including postage from China. For 100! http...

Hi Pino,
Please check C18!
In your bill is 4μ7 - It must be 4n7!
C 18 goes from pin3 /LM386 to GND!
This explains also the rattle!

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB
Reinhard,
you need only D1, D2, Q4 and R22 for the serial connection to the M64.
You need TTL_ext. only for e.g. FTDI
RS232 also you can leave.

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB
Hi Pino,
Please measure it with a multimeter on the following points LM386 to GND:
Pin 2 = 984 ohms
Pin 3 = 4.47 k ohms
Pin 5 > 100 k Ohms
Pin 6 = 1.50 M ohms
Pin 7 = 8.0 M ohms
Pin 8 = 8.0 M ohms
if there are major differences, write PM to me.
regards
Hans

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB
Pino, I refer to the last photo. A short-circuit on the right of the 10 ohm resistor would result in a short circuit the supply voltage. In a short circuit on the left, the 10 ohm would be shorted and the capacitor C12 directly to ground. This error (R11 shortly) I simulated. No volume reduction is ...

the test program is working perfectly!
Check that File 40 is available!!
Which volume is set?
The playback volume corresponds about my settings 1-2?
However, in an open loudspeaker. (not built into the radio)

Possibly, is the editing of the COM port, the "write.bat" file something wrong?
Space or something? Compare the filenames!
Or create new batch files.

Only 3 wires (Rx / Tx and GND) to connect FTDI!
FTDI interface write (in my case COM4) in Mike's batch file. (store)!
The sound module sufficient supply. (7-8 volts)
The FTDI is powered from the USB!
