C9X shows different parameter value for model than OpenTX
Found something strange from companion. When I read EEPROM from my TX (Taranis) and look the custom functions from that single model (P-51D) which I have setup in the radio. There's a safety function for channel 3 and C9X shows value -125 even that I have set it up to be -100 in the radio. And in th...

Re: Simple Mods for Taranis
I don't like these solutions for the sliders from any of the transmitter brands what I have tried (and there is a lots of them ;) ). I'd prefer more like a disc or a wheel on the side of the radio but as far as I know, there is no manufacturer which has done this. I mean similar wheel like in a norm...

Re: Problem with countdown timer.
So, what's up with this problem? I just tried to setup countdown timer with my new Taranis and after a tenth second it just kept saying ten seconds, ten seconds and etc. Then I read somewhere that timer10.wav should be removed and I did so. After that countdown just beeps from ten to zero. How to en...

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement
Hello, Yesterday I took a Taranis and wen't to our clubs flying field with my glow engined Mustang P-51D which has V8FR-II receiver in it. First I find hard time to bind the receiver. Then I read somewhere that jumper need to be used between channels 1 and 2 signal line pins. So I did so, but it sti...

Re: Taranis LCD contrast and black bar on display
Okay nice to hear. I thought that was somekind of flaw in my radio. How do you change the grey scales? I see the contrast option (as it has been with my T9X already), but no slider for the greyness of the LCD. Or do I need to upgrade the software (going to do later today anyway).

Taranis LCD contrast and black bar on display
Hi, When I change the contrast of LCD I will see a black bar across the top of the screen (at first row) on menus (and main display of course). For that reason I need to keep the contrast as minimum as possible (altough its still shimmering through a little bit). Anybody else suffering about that? I...

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement
Hi, And thanks for the solution. I have no need to plug in my old FrSky DJT module to Taranis because all my receivers should be compatible with Taranis XJT. Only thing was that FlySky module, can that be used after that mod and seems so that I can, so everything is settled now. Thanks for all once ...

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement
Yes I did. I made the modification without level converter circuit and soldered couple resistors and jumper wires inside of FrSky module. For FlySky the instuctions (http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/9x_Full_Mod_FlySky) said that pin 2 should be isolated and this is what I did. I cut the trace ...

Re: FrSky Amp/Current Sensor.
You can do something like this using the allegro sensors and Rainer's openXsensor project. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=3420&start=30#p51498 Here I used an Allegro ACS758 100U which is 100A, but there are also 150 and 200A sensors. In my opinion it is better to get &qu...

Re: FrSky Amp/Current Sensor.
Is there a possibility to hack some current sensor to deal more than 100A? For example 120A (constant) would be veeeery nice to have. 140A for a while would be even better. For example what would it take to hack FrSky own 100A sensor or maybe this one -> http://www.flytron.com/sensors/64-ultralight-...

Re: Taranis - speaker buzz - fixed
I know some computer speakers and center channel home theater speakers were marketed as 'shielded' . This was because the magnets in the speakers distorted the images on tube type displays. I wonder if the speakers themselves were shielded, or was just the enclosure shielded. It would be great if a...

But as far as I have understood that it can be only used setup which draws 100A and under. Am I right? It would really be nice to have sensor which could stand higher power consumption than this. I'd really like the idea to have an alarm, when some amount of current is being drawn from batteries. Ho...
