Re: hk backlight mod

Not compatible. :( Gee, just can't get anyting good from the masternerds. :P OK, I'll just make the FET mod and 1K mod in the Tx, and fly without telemetry and crashing all my turnigy Rx/model, then switch to Flysky module. Here is a question for someone/something to answer or think about. L...

Re: hk backlight mod

Thx, SW: that cleared a lot of my questions. one more question. Does the Frysky module (capable of telemetry) compatible with the stock Turnigy Rx? I already have 11 Turnigy Rxs (some 8ch , some 6 ch) instlled on different models and 8 (4 6ch, 4 8ch) more spares for models to be made. If the Rx stil...

Re: hk backlight mod

Oh really? I'm 2-3 hours from you (before Rotfester screwed up their ferry across the puddle, 1 hr from you), and Erazz is in Noy Joyzee, about 3 hours the other way from me... Maybe at some point we should do a little ER9X gathering ("Gathering of the Nerds... there can be only 3"...). N...

Re: hk backlight mod

Yeah yeah... quit showing off your fancy camera... A 5 yr old sony cybershot point and shoot. I wouldn't call it fancy. Fancy technique, Yes. :P . I built mine 2" thick to withstand five coeds dancing on it (you know, just in case that happens) so I won't be able to lift mine to flip it... hmm...

Re: hk backlight mod

Well, you certainly did muddy things there, but it's intriguing.. I think it must be the marble counter under teh radio, and your marble is installed reverse-polarity, since you got the reverse brightness from what I did... Your LED with smarties is still brighter than my LED without, but it's inte...

Re: hk backlight mod

The SP board when driving the supplied EL panel draws about 20MA when lit I'm told. I'll confirm this because I like the facts. The 20 Ma is drawn to produce the 90+v AC needed to drive the EL panel, yes 90V AC. This is drawn whether the EL panel is installed or not I'm told. That and a "norma...

Re: hk backlight mod

possible, reverse the LED board installed? One side of the brightly lit. Hm. Or EL driver this problem source. Smartieparts designed EL drivers, not LED. I not found smartieparts schematic, Sorry, just thinking. The HK LED was not attached to smartied board EL port. It is installed per HK installat...

One side of the brightly lit.
during the installation of the smartie board, the main circuit board was never lifted. The HK led was installed prior Smartie arrival. Both Tx had the same brightness prior to smartie installation.

Re: hk backlight mod

OK, with all that wonderful math and physics and argument. Let me try to make this a little muddier here. :) I am one of those weirdos who put the smartie board in the tx but did not bother to replace the HK led light already installed with the EL light (because I like the bright blue light that was...

Re: Heli 450 Setup problem using er9x

I, managed to strip the tail rotor gear a bit and it seems out of stock everywhere, got two housings (only way to get the gear) on backorder and got two TT assemblies on backorder as well, just in case I want to try something different. I suppose you mean tail drive gear in the boom block. yes, unf...

Re: Heli 450 Setup problem using er9x

yep, I forgot the er9x throttle is from -100 to 100 instead of 0-100. that is my bad :) but would you elaborate on your id1,id2 using c9 curve for throttle. when fully inverted and throttle stick at bottom, seems you have 0 throttle. you can't invert that heli because the throttle is less with more ...

Re: Heli 450 Setup problem using er9x

Groot: that eepe file has the same result, the motor won't start until the throttle stick is above mid stick.
ARe you sure this is for a Trex 450?

"Ah, I forgot er9x throttle start from -100 to 100."

Re: Heli 450 Setup problem using er9x

Groot, the soft start in heli usually is controlled by the ESC, Tx can hardly control a 'soft' start enough for heli. I usually have a throttle curve for heli at norm: -100 30 60 80 100. in that eepe file(if it is from you) I see you did not use the heli set up menu at all, and put mixes in each ch....

Heli 450 Setup problem using er9x

I am withdrawing what wrote. what is your Rx hook up? Looks like you may have duplicated some mix by accident to different ch.

Re: Stock Firmware - For Flashing

One of the things I noticed in heli setup. I had one trex 450 pro clone (120 swash with ele at the back) heli set up in old FW. Once I switch to er9x and did not touch anything on the heli. once I level the swash at mid stick with subtrim, and top and bottom stick with limit, then figure out the pit...

Re: slow down function not as expected

Mike:

Just checked on the real thing. that works perfect. You may want to add that to the program library/template. That is what a flap should be doing - slowly down. Now it is adjustable. :)

Thx.

Re: Stock Firmware - For Flashing

IMHO the original firmware is very good with helicopters. The swashplate mixes are very straight forward to configure as well as the gyro settings. My problems started when I got into "full house" electric gliders. The original mix templates were difficult to use and to make behave like I...

Thx, Mike
I will give it try. I did not know the sequence makes a difference in the same ch. Lesson learned. :)

read your post again. now it makes perfect sense. Don't have the Tx beside me now. I am sure what you said will work. Thx again

slow down function not as expected

This is odd to me. when I program a variable flaperon and set the P3 as adjustable switch. the slow down function only slow down when you turn the pot. but once you set the flap with P3, the flap will go straight to the adjusted point when you flip the flaperon switch, not a slow down. If you use a ...
