Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Jhsa: I just loaded your test version to Tx.

Yep, that is it. You are using a different version. And there is no problem with your version. Something has changed from your version to the published version. Both pots works normally now, the 5K or my Rocker.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Mike: I just ran a test. I have some 5K pots and I hook one to ADc10 (measured at 5.7K), now the P3 completely take over the reading. there is no movement of the 5K pot any more. In calibration the P3 bar and p4(hooked to ADC10) moves perfectly with P3 (before there was a slight difference), and the...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

What you are reporting indicates the 'new' pot connection is either not connecting, or is a high impedance. In the analog scanning order, due to the physical connections, the P3 pot is read, then AD(C)8, then the throttle, then AD(C)10. What this means is if the analog input to AD8 is missing or we...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I am using V.3205, 09.12.2015, r218. I will check the analog/diagnostics and report back. It is a high impedance pot, but it worked when connecting to the P1 or P2. edit: Mike, I tested with p4 at ADC10. the diagnostic: P3: -100 to 100, A7:0000 - 07FF A9: 0000-0FFF the pics taken when P3 and rocker ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Ok, I just ran a test. Swapped the new pot(P4) to ADC10. Here is the observation: now the p4(ADc10) is influenced by p3(which has totally independent wiring from my throttle handle), you can see the calibration bar of p4 move with the rocker now. BUT P3 will take p4 together when making calibration ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

As I posted in the 1st post, 1st line: ACD8 on AR9X board, rev B. there is only one single wiper wire connected to ACD8 pin, the V3.3 and gnd were supplied else where, common to throttle pot and all the switches on the throttle handle. edit: Isn't ACD10 is for p5 which is not implemented in AR9X/sky...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

read the eeprom, p4 is ch8 source (where is blank now because the eepskye does not record p4 yet, as Mike just explained. but you can see the video showing mixer menu and editing of ch8 it shows p4), it is connected to ch8, at the end of ch8 is a 180 degree pan servo of a HD FPV key chain camera wit...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

ha, actually 'now' the 4th bar is showing moving with throttle and there is no bar for P4. Here is another thing, just before I recorded the video, when I was moving the cursor up and down in the 'mixer' menu to check the ch8 programming, for each line of mix the cursor pass through, the p4/servo wi...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I just loaded ersky9xProvR218h version and put some test on new pots/buttons. I put a servo on ch8 and using P4 which is connected to ADC8 on AR9X board. Found something really can't explain. The P4 is connected to my Joystick Throttle handle that has a rocker pot. But it does not respond to the Roc...

F-flop function

I use F-flop function to use a momentary switch as throttle cut switch and it works very well. you push one time, the throttle is cut, push another time the throttle is released. However, when I use the same L switch as my Tx screen LED light on/off switch, it will not turn off the LED light when th...

Put a dip switch or hold the button for say 5 sec after powering the rx to go into bind mode would be easier than hold that dinky button on a d4r2 WHILE powering on. on the 8 ch d8 rx is not too bad, but d4r2 is completely different. my d4r the button is not even in the center of the thick paper hol...

Fantastic! Got my AR9X board yesterday. Today had a chance to replace the M128, everything works out very well. Now the system will have sound and voice. ;) Need to fine tune the spker set up though, not as good as my sky9x, but it is a quicky tape up, it will sound better. Tried the Joystick. Yeah!...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I would vote for manual setting for protocol as well. You will never know what new things will come out 2 months from now, but if we can just set protocol, polarity, baudrate then there is no need to redo the codes.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I know, But as far as I know COM1 on skyboard and Ar9x is RS232 level.. That is why I asked. Not sure about COM2 though. You had to bypass the level converter on stock 9x right? this thread is about erxky9x not er9x, so the levels used might be different.. João on my sky board, both com port do not...

I know you can have many ways to get around it, but as a company producing a rx, they should make it as convenient/ reliable /durable as possible.

Frsky needs to have better way of binding their rx. It is a pain to bind/rebind the rx. Others use a bind plug which is much better and easier way.

I tried to use the multimodule protocol Fysky today, it binds and servo works fine. but the telemetry is not connecting, could be my Tx pin5 mod went wrong. I will check the circuit. NO. The leds are only for when I switch GEA,AIL,ELE and RUD to a push button and want to know whether it is on or off. These two are just a quick test to see if without led (which would be the same as original, except open/closed is backwards) they would work. Looks like for TRN, the program is just...

Re: Realistic Joy Stick Flying

THR is always highlighted. You sort of can see it blinks quickly when pressed but change back to highlighted. But it did perform its function on off on. There is virtually no circuit just one wire from connecting pin to switch to gnd.

Re: Realistic Joy Stick Flying

OK, got it, but it does not affect the function of it. I 'guess' the program just make decision based on 'change of state' , not on/off?? for TRN. For THR, it is an on/off right? only it is backwards with the momentary switch and f-flop function? If so why it is always highlighted? It does not affec...

Re: Realistic Joy Stick Flying

I noticed one interesting thing. Once I swapped the tx THR and TRN to the joystick, the display screen always shows THR and TRN highlighted. The THR is using the f-flop function to make the momentary button an on/off switch. Is it supposed to be that way when using f-flop? I can't figure out why TRN...
