Hope it comes to the 2561 theater soon.
Thanks

Re: Turnigy 9x magic smoke
@Toroddandre,
I agree with bstott. But I would change to a m2561 chip. Same effort, a lot more memory! One would hope that your problem is the processor. Chip quick makes it very easy.

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
This occurred first time with an accidental short press of "left". Fortunately I was not flying. After noticing, I duplicated it on the other two Tx that I moded. So if my clumsy thumbs were to short press the left or right buttons during flight..... A second press of either button restore...

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
I am wondering if the following is intended. Flashed with er9x2561. When I push either the left or right button, all switch, pot, or stick inputs fail to register on screen or pass control commands to the model. Seems like this May be unintended as if in flight this would cause loss of control. By t...

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
This is such a great upgrade and turns out once one knows what to do and in which order it was very easy. I have the second Tx working. Even though I am a complete rookie, would it be worth documenting the next two Tx conversions with photos and write up a Wiki? Some of the details were hard to find...

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
Andrew was right. The only way I could get the display to work was to manually download the er9x-2561 file, then flash with that. The one downloaded by eepe did not work. Thankyou all for your help

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
I need a little help with setting the fuses on the 2561. At the command prompt running avrdude I am getting a response of: A required privilege is not held by the client. I don't know what to do Thanks Mike OK, figured that out by running as administrator. Now avrdude.exe error: could not find USB d...

Re: M128 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X
Thanks Mike and Andrew. This recent discussion is as good as a Wiki for the 2561. I will go ahead with the soldering of my first atmega2561 with more confidence.
Re: Joystick
I think if you google "joystick mod 9x" that you will find some videos of how to accomplish your goal. It not too hard to do.

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
Thank you very much! You make the process very clear now. With the fuses, do you need to change the fuses back to original or leave the changes intact after flashing the new firmware? And thanks for your time. I will practice first and do the M128 first. I do have quick chip kit on hand and some old...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
Animal60, As you have been successful converting two of your 9x radios to the M128, I wonder if you could do a step by step (maybe with pictures) of a M2561 conversion. And/or a written step by step for the M128 conversion. Right now the information is scattered about these forums. It is a bit confu...

Try pulling your throttle trim back as low as it goes. Then after lift off you will need to go full up trim to get full throttle.

jhsa, is there a wiki for the atmega128 mod? Maybe I am overlooking it. If there is not one how about doing one? You seem to know more about the overall mod than anyone else. If you do, I will buy the beer!

Start with this post. Keep in mind that you can program any channel from the Tx to each of the outputs from the receiver.

Looks like I will have to get an arduino and play with it to learn it. I will be glad to send you a Tx of the drift king when the time comes. I do not have the equipment to decode the IR signal. I have been searching online to see if it has been done already, but no success.

Re: Continued-Infrared module for JR compatible TX, includin
Thanks C4Vette and rperkins, I have not seen any published protocols for the drift king. It's just the heli I was given 3 years ago. I now have 6 of them as I was always repairing them then. That inspired a resurrection of 6 of my very old rc planes and sailplanes as well as moving up gradually to s...

C4vette, When you complete this project, (when you get it into your 9x), maybe you could put in the Wiki! I may try to get the same working for the Drift King and some other brand IR helis. I will have to learn more about the arduino before starting. Thanks for the work, although it looks as though ...

Re: Search for Replacement 9x Potentiometers!
I never tried the auto glass heater wire epoxy that was posted as a fix in the th9x or er9x RCGroups several years ago but I did read he claimed it worked and cost $12. SM I recently used this repair method on two 9x pots. It worked well, as I. Was able to calibrate the sticks. This has held up for ...
