Hi,
tried with newest version
first I had to remove "f" from airspeed * 10f, otherwise arduino sketch did not compile.
Now 9xr pro shows Aspd of 40 to 50 fluctuating which seems cool, however it is not 10th multiple of 0.8 to 1.8 m/s as meassured by APM.

Re: Ersky9x Test Versions
Mike,
I tried newest verisons. Arudino did not want to compile so i removed "f" after airspeed * 10 (instead airspeed * 10f).
Now numbers fluctuate (40 to 50), but do not seem to be mutiple of 0,9 to 1,8, which is usual fluctuation when pitot tube is closed - not in flight).

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Tried with mini pro 32k and return 5 test.
Aspd shows 0.
Mike: is it Aspd after TmOK value in custom telemetry menu, that should show airspeed?

Hi,
I tried return 5 test, and Aspd is still 0.
Will solder my new mini pro 32k after breakfast and test with it.

Hi,
tested the new code from github. Aspd still 0 on S.port x8r, mini pro 16, 9xr pro.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Hi,
i tried new firmware version on mini pro 16k and 9xrpro. Airspeed does not work. Value Aspd stays at 0 all the time, eventhough apm shows normal airspeed fluctuation (1.3 to 1.8 m/s) through Mission Planner. Other telemetry displays normally on 9xr pro display, so mini pro does work.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Airspeed is measured by APM airspeed sensor (optional hardware). GPS speed is actually a groundspeed. Airspeed and groundspeed are not the same if there is wind.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Nano does not work. Tested. Many times...
Mike has written an explanation for this several pages back in this thread.
My suggestion is to save time (I did not...) and buy cheap mini pro, which works well. Both 16k and 32k minis work but I suggest 32k in case the code gets bigger.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Hi, Mike, I have tested new firmware on 9xr pro and arduino mini pro 16k, frsky xjt/x8r combo, amp 2.6 clone. I confirm six modes that I have programed in arduplane are recognised and displayed correctly:auto, manual, fbwa, fbwb, loiter and rtl. On debug screen (6/10) in the last row there is only o...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Hi,
I will not be able to test 16k mini pro for at least a week, since I don't have nano which has been used for programing mini pro at home any more.
I expect to get 32k version and my own FTDI programmer in 14 days. I will try also with 16k then.

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
I still don't understand TmOK.
if TmOK=2 (=arduino to s.port working properly), but if all variables on telemetry screen are 0, apm is not sending data (=apm to arduino not wokring) despite TmOK=2?

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
Mike,
do you think we have problem because using 16k version of mini pro? During compile it warns, that only 112 bytes is left for variables.
How can I test if mini is getting mavlink messages from apm?
What is the meaning of TmOK 0, 1 and 2? DO the work if there is no mavlink from APM?

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
TmOK shows 2. If i disconnect power to apm and x8r TmOK shows 1. I am still not sure that apm is sending out the telemetry. We tried to confrim that with two osd devices (minimOSD and ramzebi), but somehow it didn't work even without arduino connected. It was working before, but not today. Strange. ...

Ok after tests with two different sets of 9xr pro, xjt, x8r, apm 2.6 and wires we have consistent conclusions (the same behaviour on both sets): arduino nano does not work. arduino mini pro 168 5V 16MHz seems to connect. After apm starts sending telemetry data, diasrmed is shown on telemetry screen,...

Ok, so you think it should work with mini pro? Does it have the same resistor as nano? Have you made any config settings in mission planner on the apm before it worked? Double checked the connections and connectors. They are fine.
