Re: Taranis X9D Bricked.
I'm confused. You use Companion to download the firmware and flash it to the radio. Which version of Companion did you use to download the firmware, and which version did you use to try to flash it (2.2.1 or 2.2.3). In any case did you perhaps download and flash the wrong version of the firmware (X9...

Re: Cant get openxsensor to work @ 3.3V 8Mhz arduino
I think people will need a little more information to be able to help. What arduino board are you using? What receiver are you connecting it to? What transmitter and firmware are you using? And exactly what is the problem? Can't get the Arduino to flash, or openxsensor flashes but the transmitter do...

Re: firmware update
Did you update your SD card to match the firmware you installed (the Wizard is on the SD card). If you updated to 2.2.x you need the matching SD card files from: https://downloads.open-tx.org/2.2/release/sdcard/ However, if you didn't update the SD card you should be getting a "SD Card Mismatch...

Re: Companion 2.2 problem in Linux Mint 17.3
I don't use Mint but similar problems with older versions of Mint have been reported before so perhaps this thread will help: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=11380 Edit: 17.3 appears to be a 5 year old release that will be out of support in two months (April 2019) so upgradin...

Right click in a blank area of the top toolbar or menu line and you should get a popup with "Edit, Write, Help, File". Make sure "Write" is checked.

Re: Delete/remove models
You can do a factory reset if you want to start with a clean slate. Menu Long to enter Radio Settings, Page forward to the Version screen which should have a Factory Reset option.....Menu Long and then confirm. This will erase all models and reset all radio settings.

Re: Delete/remove models
Menu to get model list
+ or - to move to the model you want to delete
Enter long (hold enter) to get pop up menu with delete model as one of the entries.
You can not delete the active model, select a different model and make it active then move to the one you want to delete and Enter Long.

Re: Taranis Doesn't Show On PC?
What do you have under Disk drives in Device Manager? My Windows 10 device manager does not show it under USB's the way yours does. Mine shows up under Disk drives as FrSky Taranis USB device. Do you get the Windows sounds when you plug in the Taranis? Perhaps you can download USBDeview and see what...

Re: Taranis Doesn't Show On PC?
Zadig installed drivers should only be used if the radio is attached Powered Off. If you ever run Zadig and install drivers with the radio attached powered on (which I suspect you have done) it will delete the correct drivers and install wrong ones. With the radio attached powered off (using Zadig i...

Re: Unable to check for updates Ubuntu 16.04
Before doing something that drastic I would check a couple more things. I don't know what Ubuntu installs with openssl so I would check if libopenssl-devel is installed and also (I'm guessing you have a 64 bit system) that the 32 bit libopenssl-32bit libraries are installed. If not I would install t...

Re: Unable to check for updates Ubuntu 16.04
That's a nasty little problem...but at least it explains why you can't connect. There is a problem with Companion's qt version being able to get to use https secure connections. Sorry, but I don't know anything about Ubuntu and won't be much help. My guess is that it is a problem with your systems o...

Re: Unable to check for updates Ubuntu 16.04
Yes, you must first download the firmware to your computer using Companion, there is no other way to download it. Companion knows from where to download it. Did you try to download it manually as I told you in my last post? Click "File" from the menu, click Download form the file drop down...

Re: Unable to check for updates Ubuntu 16.04
If you have 2.2.1 Companion you have either already downloaded 2.2.1 firmware or said to ignore it. In either case checking for updates won't download it again. If you already downloaded the firmware just burn it to the transmitter. And if you have either not downloaded it or can't remember where yo...

Re: Taranis Plus start up
Since you have a Taranis and a Plus you need to be careful that you have the right radio type selected in Companion before you work with a radio. You can't read models and settings from one and write it to the other or you will overwrite the general settings and make a mess. You should set up a prof...

Re: Taranis Plus start up
Go into Companion and change Settings-Radio Type to Frsky Taranis X9D+. Make sure EU is not checked if you want to use D8 receivers (All other modes will still be EU-LBT. Then go to File-Download, make sure x9d+ is in the filename, click "Download Firmware" button. Tell it where to save it...

Re: Taranis Plus start up

Re: Receiver Firmware
If you just want to be able to use your old receivers on your new transmitter you can download and install openTX firmware without checking EU option and you should be able to bind them in D8 mode on the new transmitter. The other modes will still be EU-LBT, it just gives you D8 mode also.

Re: Terranis qx7 rxbt telementry
rxbt is the receiver battery, not the transmitter battery. In your case probably the BEC voltage so 5.2 was probably correct.
