Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi again, I realize this is an old thread but can someone help with loading the bootloader please? I have an Arduino Pro Mini I do not have the completed module in the transmitter yet and figured while I had it out I can install the Bootloader. I have tried using my USBasp programmer with eepe but g...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Yes João, I realize that and again I thank you for taking the time out to reply. Just an update. I'm going to build the 2 board design first. I'm working on the Amplifier board and have completed the Arduino board minus connections. I just rechecked my work and noticed I used the wrong value resisto...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi João, Sorry, I meant the transistor is in a different spot, you have an extra 10uF Capacitor on the latest diagram you just posted. I don't recall seeing it on the first page, I think there were only a 10uF and 220uF cap on the first-page diagram. I was thinking the voltage regulator was differen...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Thank you, João It Kind of does João, I guess its the newest version but I see now you added a 10U Cap and different Transistor ( which I don't have that transistor ) I'm building the 2 board version at the moment and will give that a try before building the single board. One question is do you have...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
It should also work with er9x, but it is not an ArduVoice, it is a Megasound board which is parallel. It could probably be modified to work as serial.. I don't have the board though so I don't know the schematic for it.. João Sent from my BLN-L21 using Tapatalk Hi João, Do you have a diagram or pho...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi João, I have been reading through all the posts here and planned to build your 2 board design but see there's a single board design. Which is easier to fit in a 9X? I'm guessing the 2 board design is. Do you have a photo of the back of the single board build & what size is it? ( I see the pho...

I came across this last night. 3 of them for $4.20 It doesn't include any parts - just a fyi I will have to try and get all the parts for it from China they are so much cheaper ...

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
I have a mini, nano and 2 unos :) I have a bad habit of buying more than I need lol. I was going to make a sonar sensor and incorporate an Arduino to automatically retract my Octocopter Landing gear. I looked at you ArduVoice post and would love to try it but I hate waiting for Ebay stuff to show up.

I just want to thank everyone again for all your help.
Now if only I could get my hands on a Megasound card lol/
Maybe ArduVoice?
I have a nano, FTDI programmer & the SD card module already

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
That's funny Mike because I just installed the ER9x Mega128 file as jhsa noted and it is the same thing lol. I did finally find the hardware enabled menu and enabled the FRSKY MOD - Thank you ! I had to move around some TX & RX wires on my RS232 converter and I finally have something. I thought ...

Holding the left horizontal trim to the left and powering on does nothing.

I will post that in a few hours as soon as I get home from work :( I was going to post it last night but wasn't sure if I needed it. Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
ER9X is loaded and it has an M128 I have triple checked that the RS232 side of the converter is pointed to my DHT module and TTL is pointed to my main board. I have a 470 Ohm resistor going to Mosi. One other thing I noticed when turning on the transmitter is it sometimes is blank. Turning it off an...

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
OK I finally wired everything up and I have no Telemetry.
Also the Throttle Switch indicates on along with the Aileron Switch.
I must have something wired wrong.

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
Look at the markings, you want RS232 on module side. Awesome Kilrah I went back and looked at the how to post and like you said the module talks RS232 and the Atmega talks TTL. I didn't realize the direction is on the bottom of the converter board beside with a 50/50 chance I would have soldered it...

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
s-l1600.jpg Hello all, My Mini RS232 to TTL converters came in. I'm not sure if it matters where pin 1 on the chip faces? Does it matter which way the converter gets wired? Oh, and all the photos I can find are pretty blurred and hard to make out. In one photo it looks like pin 1 point away from th...

Re: FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
OK Gotcha
I was confused by the VCC & Ground going into the line converter but not coming out to feed the DHT.
Those connections aren't used.
Ok I know what needs to be wired and where to get all the connections now.
Thank you for clarifying that jhsa

thank you, I saw that earlier jhsa. Well, I guess I'm buying some level converters now and waiting a week or 2 more for them to get here. FrSky DHT Trace cut or No Trace Cut ?
Ok I have everything wired and almost ready to test but I'm confused on one thing. There are a few videos out there on how to get Telemetry to the TH9X or 9X from a DHT module but I came across one that the person says you need to cut 2 traces on the DHT board. Does this need to be done? I hate to b...

I also have a 3rd TH9X with atmega64 chip I though you couldn't do telemetry on it?

Re: "Switch Error" - I guess I should have flashed to ER9X before cutting traces
Thank you for the response jhsa
I am resoldering the circuits back again tonight after I know if I flashed it with the correct file.
I flashed it using ER9X m128-Standard should I have used something else maybe just the plain ER9X m128?
Joe

"Switch Error" - I guess I should have flashed to ER9X before cutting traces
Hi all, I'm not sure if this was covered here or not I did a search and didn't see anything but I could have missed it. I have a TH9X and went ahead and cut the traces and rerouted the traces to the pins on the atmega128 chip. I soldered the additional wires on to flash to ER9X as well. I am still w...
