Re: The end of the DSM mod...

Model match I see as an added safety feature, isn't that good? I agree about their radios though!

That latest DM9 module case does at least put the aerial where it should be! ;)

Re: The end of the DSM mod...

By fitting a module from a DX4E into a 9x (or in a plug in DM9 case, if you use this one SPK 6817 you get a far better aerial position too) and get model match, 6 channels with DX7 latency and DSMx. Also, you can bind and range check without fiddling around at the back. Lower power consumption as we...

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB

I just fitted a 21/07/12 purchased emartee board and it seems fine with er9x r777, and fitted the rotary encoder at the same time (I found it VERY critical to position correctly) Questions: 1/ what test will show if I have a "slow" module? 2/ what will this new board give me that Mike's on...

Re: The end of the DSM mod...

Hmm, not too sure, Won't Pat's dsm/dsmx mod have less latency (as well as model match)? I agree Orange is a cheap solution if you don't want to use a soldering iron. It may be my imagination, but my dx4e module in the 9x SEEMS to be more responsive than my dm9 with the same transmitter/model, partic...

Re: What is behind this black board?

Hey, where did you get a DSMX module from? Just checked my DM9 DSM2 module, there is no problem there. The pin in question isn't connected to anything. I seem to remember this pin was used for 9 volts supply on JR transmitters when using a 35mhz module for the pa stage :?: Of course, if you made you...

Re: Sky9x Rotaty Encoder Option

I would also check the data line connectiions to the main board. I can't see how anyone could break the pcb and pins, with reasonable force. There are 16 of them in total! The main bord pcb has plated through holes. and the adaptor board is soldered on the "correct" side of the pcb. The pi...

If I understand correctly, you intend to connect the 2.4ghz antenna through spring loaded pins?? If that is what you intend to do I would suggest you didn't :o Sorry, just re-read your post, me being stupid! As I remember most of that black bit is just groundplane, with a few tracks running v...

Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB

I've had a couple of comments asking is it CE approved, I just show the CE sticker on the FrSky Tx module! What really matters is does it keep control anyway. Last Sunday the was a shout from the pilots box "NO CONTROL". The electric glider concerned ended up in the car park. I believe th...

Ah, slight problem, the RTC locks after a few minutes without the battery connected,
and the battery no longer runs the RTC. Might be me!
(Have rotary encoder fitted, menu long doesn't set the clock, long press on the encoder does)
Hope this helps :)

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Yahoo :P .
At last I have 2 boards that read temperature correctly, 20C
on the date/time screen.
Before I had 0C on one, 46C on the other!
(They still read that on the "up" screen, I guess that wants a tweek)
Mass storage looks good too.
Good work Mike :D

Romolo, you found a way round an awkward problem (for me anyway) I'm happy with hardware, but cr*p with software. As you said, it only has to be done once, very satisfying for me. Sad or what? Thankyou :D P.S. Maybe when Mike has a minute (or more)we could get a sensible temperature reading from the...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

As burn-o-mat is a frontend to avrdude I suppose you already have it installed, furtermore you have avrdude installed in the eepe/companion9x directory as both programs install it. You only need to edit the config file. I tried to do that in windows (xp) and dos, (well xp version of it).No luck so ...
