Re: Forum Upgrade

There is really no good reason for this to not be working :-(

I have now tried a change that 'may' work. Essentially using an external mail provider.

Let me know if it helps!

Re: RE: Re: Micro short range 2.4g tx with ppm input

I modified the code and compiled ....but it is not tested because i'm not at home.See attached.Test and let me know. if you press bind button at start tx module enters in bind mode for 9sec. and LED is flashing rapidly. PPM input is moved on channel1(AC410) so connect tx PPM signal to ch1. Quick on...

Re: RE: Re: Micro short range 2.4g tx with ppm input

If you are interested. You can buy and AC410(small) and I can make the code for re-purpose as tx module TX (with ppm decoder)and you can re-flash it with new firmware.it is not complicated to change the code from RX to TX.I have both.If you remove the pinheader is even smaller. http://www.hobbyking...

Believe most openlrs systems are dual function. You configure it either as a tx or rx.

So technically... I could make it a tx.

Re: Micro short range 2.4g tx with ppm input

Thinking maybe to drop the 2.4g idea and use this:

http://www.hobbiesfly.com/brotronics-submicrolrs.html

Being openlrs, in theory the rx can be reflashed at a tx!

Micro short range 2.4g tx with ppm input

Hello Just a stab in the dark here.. Does anyone know of a super small 2.4g transmitter module. Something ideally off the shelf that will receive a ppm signal, and send it to a suitable receiver - that has ppm output. When I say small... I am thinking around 1.5cm x 1.5cm It does not need range - ju...

Re: send long values to a drone with a transmitter?

Wasn't there a project on here at some point that allowed you to send data to the plane via a channel.

Some sort of pulsing control to multiplex multiple 'extra' channels in one high channel?

Re: Convert PWM to Voltage for RSSI

In theory you can run multiple i2c devices on the same bus.

It will however depend on if the i2c dac allows you to change its id.

What exactly is it you are trying to do? It's entirel possible that this solution would be better achieved in a different way.

Re: Convert PWM to Voltage for RSSI

The actual wiring up is very easy.

Just 4 wires if I am correct.

Two between the dac and arduino on the i2c bus.
One pwm input.
One voltage output.

Re: Convert PWM to Voltage for RSSI

Guess it depends on how ichor soldering you want to do.

The dac is very smooth - and the code has a nice arduino kalman filter. So really a question of what you want.

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

I personally believe that the FAA are simply following the rules of the UK caa. Note. In the UK it is the exemption that allows you to fly to 1000ft. The 'law' is 400 ft. What this means is the UK caa can pull rights to fly at 1000 ft any time they want - without the legal systems coming into play. ...

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

For the UK readers....

The current state of play is well summed up in this CAA summary.

http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/docs/33/1108.pdf

For the UK the exemptions applied allow height up to 1000ft on condition that you can see the model at all times.

Re: RE: Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

I don't like the 400 feet limit, my electric glider is often up over 1000 feet. Mike. That's why in the UK there is a cap exemption. In the UK you can happily fly over 400 ft. But we are talking line of site. I personally have a view that there is a big question that needs to be put to the powers. ...

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

I don't think that is likely the case.

Here in the UK the caa are quite aware of the risks and work with the model flyers.

Regulation is inevitable. But an outright ban. Highly unlikely.

Re: FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration 2015

And... the regular police really have time to police it? The problem with drones is that it is exceptionally hard to catch someone breaking the law. (In the act ) Registration will only punish the guys who already stick to the rules. I had a funny incident the other day. I was flying LOS Angeles sky...
